As for the YP theory, I've also heard nothing since applying pretty early on in the cycle..

Ugh, I am so silly. I've been looking at that little box on the top-right on the status checker page, not realizing that I've already gone complete according to the little message on top of the page. So now, I have no idea how long I've been complete. Submitted 11/18, though, so I'm guessing I went complete around 11/21?

Probably faster, if there were no issues. My turnaround was one day.neprep wrote:Ugh, I am so silly. Same as above poster. Mine went complete within 24 hours. Are you in-state? If so, that might affect how long it took for your app to go complete.neprep wrote:Ugh, I am so silly. Also, as RC said before, UVA doesn't seem to be big on status checkers. Might be able to save you a couple of hours you might have spent checking and refreshing the status checker page. Mine didn't even update to admit until several days after I was notified by phone. Don't expect to get any breaking news from the checker, you're more likely to get word through an email or phone call.

I'm sure you'll hear back the first couple weeks of December. They'll try to have as good of an idea as possible in December of possible matriculants so they can start making $$$ decisions in January.neprep wrote:Nope, not in-state. Are you in-state? If not, its less likely. LSAT/GPA medians are generally higher for out-of-state applicants to UVA. Regardless, with an ED WL there's always a chance.

I just submitted my ED app to UVA.
Haha, I don't know why I'm being so shy. I'll just post my direct stats to help you guys out
GPA: 3.95, LSAT: 165 Good luck everyone! This wait is already overwhelming!

Re: UVA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
I went complete on 11/05 (RD), have heard nothing since, and I'm starting to get nervous.
This is most likely me freaking out unnecessarily. I've noticed others mention YP as a possible explanation, but I don't think my numbers are in YP range for UVA (right around the 75th for each).
Thoughts?

My status has been "verifying materials for completion" since 11/18 .... Should I be worried??

Thank you! I just realized that my UVA app has been complete since 11/19 and it is my Cornell app that is still verifying.RCO2012 wrote:That isn't normal. I went complete before that (got the status checker 10/21, I think i went complete before 11/01) and haven't heard a peep either. Looks like December is a pretty likely time for us RDers to hear, myLSN.rule615 wrote:I went complete on 11/05 (RD), have heard nothing since, and I'm starting to get nervous.

Thanks, good luck to you too! When did you go complete? I'm pretty late for a ED-er so I'm a little nervous--by the looks of this thread, UVA is being really thorough this year.Gooner91 wrote:Good luck!Fiera wrote:I just submitted my ED app to UVA.

Re: UVA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Went complete 11/4 (29 days ago). According to our spreadsheet, the average time between complete and interview request is 19 days, between complete and decision (if interviewed) is 26 days, and between complete and decision (if not interviewed) is 17 days.
Is my time of 29 days normal? I haven't been in this thread too much, so I am just curious what people are seeing.

Re: UVA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
I wouldn't say it is too abnormal for RD this cycle. One of the above posters said December is a good month for pending candidates, and I agree. Like I've said previously, UVA will be wanting to get a good look at their possible matriculants before they start making scholarship offers in mid-January. So, hang in there.lawschool22 wrote:Went complete 11/4 (29 days ago). Re: UVA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Gooner and I were both already admitted. End of November/early December is not late for an ED application, so that shouldn't hurt you. And from the looks of it a ton of decisions have not been made, so you're right in there with the rest of the pack. Also, you're ahead of those who will be taking the December LSAT, so the scores of those applicants won't affect your chances either.Fiera wrote:Thanks, good luck to you too! THIS.
Almost exactly my concern as well. I went complete the day after you. I guess we'll just have to hang in there, as RCO2012 said....lawschool22 wrote:Went complete 11/4 (29 days ago).
