I think it all depends when you submit. I sent it the same date to HLS and i was complete 4 days later. But someone else submitted to HLS a day after me and didn't go complete until last week.mg7 wrote:teachmehowtoraji wrote:I submitted 11/28, didn't go UR til 12/21mg7 wrote:My app has been complete since 1/6.. Yeah I went complete at BC about 2 days after I submitted my app, but nothing since then. Better than Cornell or UT I suppose - I applied at the beginning of the month and still haven't gone complete at eitherUMich11 wrote: I think it all depends when you submit. Just accepted via email! I went complete in mid-November. Now to start my public interest application! It's unfortunate that the scholarship committee does not see your admissions application. I feel like my personal statement basically makes my case for a public interest scholarship so I'll basically be copying and pasting it into the scholarship app.

Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
Yeah it is kind of a long process it seems. It took me a month to go under review and I have been under review for over a month now. I love BC so that makes me all the more anxious.mg7 wrote:teachmehowtoraji wrote:I submitted 11/28, didn't go UR til 12/21mg7 wrote:My app has been complete since 1/6.. BC is taking a while.. I applied 11/29, UR 12/14, and still stuck at UR. I got into BU before Xmas (though I did apply there 2 weeks before BC). Arg.

Just got the Congratulations email!!!!! I was expecting a rejection or at most a waitlist with my numbers. I guess we just have to have faith in ourselves.

Edit: is there a difference between complete and under review at BC or did people go complete->decision?

Wow, congrats! BC has been really unpredictable on both sides of the numbers spectrum this year. Seems like they're looking holistically at applicants during a year when you would least expect it out of them (a year of declining applicants).JayJones78 wrote:Congrats! I applied in early Nov. Yes there is a stage "Under review". I think my UR status changed three times or so. Have faith!!

Mine said mid-Feb as well. I just started checking to see if I'll go under review again... nothing yet. They just started reviewing again on Tues though, so I guess I should just be patientAlanShore wrote:so for those held, my email said we would hear back by mid-feb. did yours? i'm hoping to go back UR soon then!

Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
Judging by the last few years of BC Applicants threads, it's about now when people that were initially held started going back under review. My hold --> UR a couple weeks back seems to be something of an anomaly.
For those on hold, I strongly suggest visiting the school. If you live in New England and already did, do it again. I was on hold, visited the school in early January, went back under review the day after visiting and received a decision a couple days afterwords. They may very well like continued interest.

I went complete 12/12/12, went UR 12/18. Looks like a month might be the UR timeline i just don't know how long for a decision.JayJones78 wrote:Slow response!! I applied 12/20. Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
I visited before Christmas after my file went under review and had a nice chat with one of the admissions officer. Three days later I got my acceptance letter even though I was told that the next round of decisions would probably be coming in January, so it seems like a good idea.

I don't want to lead you in a wrong direction so perhaps someone else could chime in, but you could always come in and ask a few questions, let them know at the end that BC is still your top choice.AlanShore wrote:it wouldnt be weird to visit again? like i did the tour and classroom and the whole deal.skri65 wrote:Judging by the last few years of BC Applicants threads, it's about now when people that were initially held started going back under review.
