I mean, I'm trying to keep hope alive, but I would say that unless people hear from KB in the next 10 days, they're probably headed for WLs/dings. I just can't imagine why Harvard would want to admit a significant number of people after their ASW. Maybe they don't care if we go, but from what I hear they do try to put on a good show when admitted students come to Cambridge. What would be the point of letting in a bunch of people whom they'd have a difficult time wooing so late in the cycle?? I'm not including myself in this-- I'd jump at a Harvard acceptance at any time between now and mid-August, but I don't know/assume that everyone is as desperate as I am.
I don't think they can reasonably expect people to come to ASW with less than a week's notice? IDK, I just feel like that isn't their priority.

I'm not sending multiple LOCIs... I think it looks a little desperate. If I get waitlisted, maybe then I'll send something else.

I'm just really terrible at the LOCI-writing game. So, if I get waitlisted, I'm sending them a bikini picture with "I want to go to Harvard" scribbled on the back.

I don't know how far that'll go in an office that appears to be led by women...

At least I'll always take comfort in the thought that I got rejected because of that indiscretion rather than because I was seen otherwise insufficient to be an HLS student :D

Okay.

So i'll ask again this time ill be more clear. Do hold candidates who have not heard back yet still stand a chance? what sort of speculation is out there.

Given that they've sent out invites as recently at 2-3 business days ago, I think there is certainly still hope. No reason to assume the most recent batch was the last one.

Give up hope if you're dinged-not before.

I'm thinking if you're a hold candidate with decent numbers then worst case if you survive the next 5 days and don't get a KB1 is a WL.

I can always count on soj to pull the Chippendale's dancer out of his back pocket (or bookmarked tabs).

Congrats! A KB1 this late means they know they want you. I'd bet that you'll be in. only a matter of time.

A KB1 today would be the best possible ending to this horrible, horrible week.

It doesn't help that I'm watching a few of my friends go up to Harvard today for the ASW.

This is probably a really stupid question ... but for those of you who sent an LOCI and did the postcard thing ... did you use a normal envelope and fold the postcard, or did you use an oversized envelope?

Put the postcard in a full-size overnight envelope.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
