I was worried because I really needed to mail a seat deposit check to another school, so I decided to just call the admissions office. I called just after 5pm and got Dean States who told me I was going to be accepted. My status checker went "under review" the next morning and I got the email late that night.

Wow, it sounds like they have decisions but are sitting on them.

When I called and got Dean States he told me my file was under review by the last person and he went ahead and called whomever that was and asked her to kinda speed it up...got my response within two days

Yeah, this is frustrating. I've been stuck on complete for about two months. Since I go to UNC for undergrad, one of these afternoons I might go crazy and run over to the law school and cause a scene.

Our last day of class was today, so if you head over and do that, you won't have to worry about making a scene in front of the entire school.

Agreed. I have been application complete since 10/24. That's correct, OCTOBER 24th!!! This is the last school I'm waiting to hear from and, of course, the school I'd most like to attend. Imagine that.

I just got my waitlist email, too. I already confirmed I'd stay on until August 22. : )

Also received the wait list e-mail tonight. Decided to remain on it. Despite UNC being my top choice, looks like I may have to look elsewhere as the chances of getting off the wait list probably are not great.

From my communications with the admissions office it seems that they are still make decisions; however, the decisions left to be made are rejections and wait list offers.

I was under the impression that there would still be a "few" acceptances sent out leading up to May 1st. Is this incorrect?

When asked directly if they still had admissions offers to make, the response I received was "decisions will be made until May 1st." The admissions office followed that comment with indirect statements making me believe it is simply wait list offers and rejections to be made. It seems as though the only admits that will be made are in the event that people withdraw or fail to pay their deposits. It was my impression from the admissions office that most of the offers for admission had been made. Wait list seems like the best possible scenario at this point.

I don't doubt they make some exceptions, but they basically say don't expect to receive anything better than waitlist in April.
