I've been in review since 3/25 and I submitted my app a few days before the deadline. I'm not very hopeful since my LSAT isn't so great 144 :/ but I know everything else in my file is really good. I just don't get why it's taking them so long to deny me, it's making me nervous.
I got waitlisted at Villanova, which is where I completed my graduate degree.
I just want to know already so that I can move on...

Well, the LSAT score is not the only factor so you never know! Have they been updating your In review status dates too? Good luck!

Villanova looks like it sends everyone to the waitlist.

It will be tough to get acceptance if you are a non URM.
Hopefully you have been accepted to other schools.
Good luck!

Q: What is the lowest LSAT you will accept?
A: We do not have a set minimum. This year the lowest LSAT we accepted was in the low 140's. The median was a 163. Accepted applicants with lower LSAT scores tend to have higher GPAs and strong personal statements, letters of recommendation, and work experience/evidence of leadership.
Just some food for thought. Good luck!

Show me a school that doesn't say that. Just like Titleist said "unless you are a URM", or saved 12 orphans from a burning building....LadyLoo wrote:Straight from the FAQ from U H Law Center website -hk54 wrote:I've been in review since 3/25 and I submitted my app a few days before the deadline. The fact of the matter is that Rankings are all the school cares about. LSAT is the main factor, GPA comes in at second. The rest of the "soft" factors are just that, soft. As in they don't really matter if your not even close on the LSAT. Look at the graphs and the admitted student statistics.
hk54: What do you think the chances are of a guy like you and a school like me... ending up together?
U of H Law: Well, hk54, that's difficult to say. I mean, we don't really...
hk54: Hit me with it! Just give it to me straight! I came a long way just to see you, U of H Law. The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances?
U of H Law: Not good.
hk54: You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?
U of H Law: I'd say more like one out of a million.
[pause]
hk54: So you're telling me there's a chance... *YEAH!*

I think it's only snail mail because they want you to fill out the deposit form they sent with the admittance packet.mtyler19 wrote:For some reason I'm not seeing this anywhere, but is there a way to pay your deposit online?

I just talked to her, it is only snail mail. But you don't have to send in that form yet, I don't know the exact deadline but I know the form is in lieu of a second deposit.zanzbar wrote:I think it's only snail mail because they want you to fill out the deposit form they sent with the admittance packet.mtyler19 wrote:For some reason I'm not seeing this anywhere, but is there a way to pay your deposit online?

Just withdrew my appliation. I can honestly say that, aside from the seemingly out of date facilities, I was very happy with everything I saw/heard during the admitted student day. Good luck to the rest of you!

Wait so is that the final letter of intent? I thought it was just a deposit form we needed to send the money with so I mailed it. If I get in off the waitlist at another school and decide I want to attend there will I run into trouble with UH?mtyler19 wrote:I just talked to her, it is only snail mail. Idk, but I got it from this in the admitted students brochure....
"To save your seat in the incoming class you will need to pay the $200 non-refundable enrollment fee by April 15th or the date in your acceptance letter, whichever is later. The fee can be paid by check or money order, made out to University of Houston Law Center, and mailed to our office. Around the end of May, we will email the Registration Commitment Form, which our office uses in lieu of a second payment. Completion of this form shows your intent to enroll at the Law Center. You must return this form by the deadline in order to retain your seat in the class and to allow the registrar’s office to register you for classes"
