Re: BU 2011 Applicants
I'm in the middle of a meeting (which you can tell I am giving my undivided attention), getting a call from 617-353-2000 –– a quick Google search tells me this is BU's campus security line.
Is this the number people are getting a call from?
numbers: 167 / 3.5

Haha it's only awkward if you make it awkward. Just say, "Thanks, I'm really happy to hear that."

This one went to voicemail, but when Minnesota called all I could say was "Cool."krad wrote:ohhh ho calls are going out? <stares at phone>
If I get a call, I'm sure it will be awkWonkyPanda wrote: EDIT: Also, is it me or are these phone calls sort of awkward? I didn't really know what to say. I was a bit stunned and it was just kind of...weird I guess. Do you yell in joy? Do you just say thanks? Do you ask them how everything is going?

617-353-.... should be BU calling.
Another afternoon where I will no longer be getting any work done, staring at my phone. I've been complete at BU since 11/11! Please call me BU!

Honestly, since BU's number is out there, I might as well put it in my phone and give it its own ringtone. Such as an obnoxiously loud siren.

If I put it as a contact, I'd name it OMG ITS BU.krad wrote:Haha I mean, I don't think I'll be too awk, it's just that I will probably be completely taken by surprise! I wonder if there's any method to their calling? Perhaps by last names? Does everyone who was accepted today have a last name starting with an early alphabet letter? Like A-F?

I'm 2nd Half of alph for first and last. It most likely just has to do with dates, and how things got batched together by the adcom for review.Gemini Hopeful wrote: Does everyone who was accepted today have a last name starting with an early alphabet letter? Like A-F?
And no scholly info, not that I'm likely to get one anyway, but it probably comes via admit pack.

Haha, that does make me feel better. I would love if I got into BC. I guess we'll see what happens. People with our numbers have gotten into BU, but they had very strong undergrad schools.toptwin wrote:number twin - but I got in to BC.. maybe BU too! lol I think we still have hope.law4vus wrote:3.3, 167. Sounds like they're waiting for you to send in your fall grades by updating your transcript information by using the directions provided by LSAC.JerrySeinfeld wrote:I just got this email from BU, what does it mean, exactly?
