On another note, does anyone know the dress for the admitted students reception? I'm going thursday, and I figured it would be a suit. I emailed STCL but they didn't answer.
Full tux. Nah, but I'd say business casual, with a jacket in the car on standby?
When I emailed them my RSVP, I asked what the dress code was, and they said business casual, so I'm considering eschewing the jacket, but I may take it with me.

I went to CU Boulder's ASD and nobody wore anything within the realm of formal wear. Most people wore jeans with nice shirts.

So I would ditch the jacket, prolly.

I'm most likely just gonna wear some nice jeans/khakis and a shirt, but when I went to the open house they had, I saw a few people with sportcoats.

This does not bode well for our entering class. o.O I need to get to an ASD and see these people.

For those of us that are in...when is the day where we can tour, talk about questions, meet faculty...etc? The meetups aren't even at the school (at least I'm going to the one in Dallas) ...so what do we do? Just show up in August?

Schedule a visit is what I recommend, but its only two buildings so. For me, its not the "campus" but the city, but I was surprised the admitted things in Houston aren't even at the campus. It's a nice campus though. Classrooms are better than mine in undergrad at a larger institution, and the library is actually pretty good.

That's because if you're not an engineer, you don't matter at A&M. You know it's true. But you at least have the Allen Building, I'm a History major, we get Glasscock's basement that floods.

WINNING. Truth. Allen is better than Glasscock (my own parking lot), but it is sad i've been in the same two classrooms for three years now.

Better than Soates, lol.

I'm so tired of College Station right now...can't wait to move on and start from a clean slate.

EDIT: Poly Sci major? Took a class from Nedderman my second year while just taking random classes. One of my favorite profs ever. And actually...my favorite prof i ever had was my European military history prof, Dr. Seipp.

I had Seipp for a "How to write a History paper" class last semester, and he is awesome, he's definitely my favorite prof ever, too.

don't mean to thread derail or anything...but if you have an extra credit to burn, take his European military history....you learn so much.

I've actually heard the same about Nedderman and Seipp. I never had them.

Add me to the group of seriously irritated cost-benefit analysts who need the scholarship blank of their spreadsheet filled in to even BEGIN to know where they want to go to school. >=(

(Alternately, out me as the nerd with the spreadsheet. Whichever makes the scholarship offer appear in my inbox!)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
