Re: Emory 2011
10K and 18K a year? These scholarships seem much lower than last years awards. I hope I am wrong but an increase in tuition + lower scholarships + this terrible admissions process + the ATL and other shit could kill Emory in the "rankings."

For real. It's much easier for moms to forward emails from their address to yours than letters.seriously???? wrote:hey guys! wustl just accepted me via email.

that is outrageous. i rented a two-bedroom townhouse for $700/month a couple miles from emory. i have friends who live walking distance from emory and pay $2000/month four ways for a 4BR/4BA house. groceries are cheap, beer is cheap. i cannot imagine spending $2000/month in atlanta anywhere near emory.Living Expenses: $18,602 ($2,067 per month for nine months)

That does seem slightly inflated. I just checked out CL and theres a 4 bedroom house in Decatur for $1,000 / month.fatduck wrote:rman1201 wrote:Unfortunately... the $70k/year COA is no joke.HelltotheNo wrote:Anything less than20K30k and Emory will be off my listthat is outrageous. i rented a two-bedroom townhouse for $700/month a couple miles from emory. i have friends who live walking distance from emory and pay $2000/month four ways for a 4BR/4BA house. groceries are cheap, beer is cheap. i cannot imagine spending $2000/month in atlanta anywhere near emory.Living Expenses: $18,602 ($2,067 per month for nine months)

No.... all you can tell from those data points is that 167 would be on one side of the wall, assuming there is a wall

Re: Emory 2011
A few pages back a bunch of the current students pretty much said the cost was vastly inflated...they do it so people can take out more in loans if they have to. I live super close to campus and pay under $600 per month for a very nice, new apartment I share with another law student (this is one of the more expensive complexes). It does get more expensive if you want to live by yourself in one of the more popular/very close to school areas, however.rman1201 wrote:That does seem slightly inflated.
