That's ridiculous lol. No I'm from upper Mich haha
Many yoopers refer to those from Lower Michigan as trolls (as in, they live under the bridge).
Or if you're from Ohio, you just refer to all of Michigan as "that state up North," among other terms....

Yeah my family mostly uses other terms. Which is why my infatuation with UMich Law=a problemmmm.
I'm almost glad my numbers would never get in....I would probably be disowned. Yup, it's definitely for the best...

Yeah my cousins/some of my aunts & uncles are horrified I'm even applying. But my immediate family is cool with it, but I dunno how they'd handle me actually GOING there.
Which I want to do ;___;
As long as Ohio State keeps winning, everything is good. Still...yeah, my fam would probably be torn between "awesome!" and "oh god Michigan." Going to the game over Thanksgiving break!

My boyfriend is a Michigan fan too! Yeah, if Michigan won it would get a little real, but luckily I don't think Denard Robinson can singlehandedly beat Ohio State. Awesome!
Also, sorry. I applied PT here and am stuck on 10/28. Lame. ONTOPIC ONTOPIC

That is GREAT that I have never heard that.
Weird.
When I went to school in lower Michigan I was very surprised that most trolls didn't know they were trolls.

thanks. Fellow Michigander?
Nope; Wisco. Three of my best friends from college are Yoopers, so I spent a good deal of time up there.
Where from in the UP? If you don't mind me asking.

Im in the 11/2 batch but Im probably a waitlist/reject. So unless I hit the jackpot, I dont think all of 11/2 are accepts, but i will still be waiting by the mailbox.

I can't decide what is more outrageous in this thread... a) the intensity of looking at completion dates or b) the number of michigan kids here (I suppose you could call me a troll as well...)

+1, but my mail is going to my parents in the South so I figure tomorrow is most likely if the DC area got their letters yesterday.

No status updates today? Still stuck at 10 / 29. Guess means no decision yet would have received by now.

Sorry, I know you guys have probably gone over this a million times in here, but is general consensus that if your status checker completion date changes to a new date (mine went from like "application completed 10/21" to "11/4"), there is a good chance a decision was made?
Any one have this status date change and been dinged/waitlisted?
RD app here.

Correct me somebody if I'm wrong, but a status change just probably means that they've looked at your file. Pretty sure everybody who's had a decision made (in either direction) has updated their date at least twice, and as many as 4-5 times
EDIT: yeah what Gdane said
