Yeah, after my June 2016 LSAT, even UCLA sent me an email saying that they would accept my application for the 2015-2016 cyclePozzo wrote:Nah, this is when they really start: "There's still ttttime!!!"haley12 wrote:That was beautiful, thank youHennessyVSOP wrote:TGIF y'all

No word as of yet from the school who I sent a negotiation e-mail to on Monday.
Surprise, surprise, their scholarship acceptance form is due today.

I feel like I saw this discussed in a thread here but I don't remember where?
Has anyone used a good website before to track their family tree? Specifically, if you don't have much information at all on one parent, a website that helps you find out more?

In all seriousness, I know my dad has done a lot of stuff with ancestry.com but it was free way back when he did it and I think you have to pay for it know, which sucks. He was more focused on stuff far in the past though, I'm not sure if it would be helpful for something as recent as your parents.

Hahaha, nah. I'm 99.9% sure that there aren't any URMs anywhere in my family. My biological mother left when I was three and I just know nothing about her side of the family and I'm hella bored at work so I thought it might be interesting. I could've sworn I saw some people talking about it here recently lol.Bob loblaw law blog wrote:Tryna get that URM status huh? /sbwaldorf wrote:I feel like I saw this discussed in a thread here but I don't remember where?

I would definitely try ancestry, even though you need to pay. They have two TV shows on TLS about finding long lost relatives or their family lineage using their tools. I really want to do those DNA genetic tests.

I got an email from one of my schools saying don't forget to place your deposit b/c seats are filling up fast. Could a school really take away an offer b/c they ran out of room? I've never heard of this before.

I think that's just a way of saying "hurry up and pay your deposit" hahah I think a couple of years back a school overenrolled and sent out letters to certain students saying "hey, if you defer for a year, we'll give you a bigger scholarship for the inconvenience!"Stylnator wrote:I got an email from one of my schools saying don't forget to place your deposit b/c seats are filling up fast. Get your genetic test done at 23andme.com and then head to your local LDS Church and use their resources to research genealogy, or hire a genealogist. HTHbwaldorf wrote:I feel like I saw this discussed in a thread here but I don't remember where?
