Just not really sure it will help. Id expect to hear something, including a hold, by cob friday.NJTerp wrote:Alright, perhaps a silly question. Late January applicant, went complete mid-to-late February, since then, nothing. Above 25% GPA, median LSAT, 2+ years public sector experience, etc., etc.
At this point, would it be in my interest to send an LOCI, or is that something reserved for after action on their part?
I've been admitted at CCN, so I'm not going full-on insane, but HLS looms large...

Has anyone been WL yet? I see on LSN that someone's status is WL but they may have meant held.

Word. I counted the number of HYPS grads who RSVPed to the March ASW. There were 73, or 28% of the lot. Gotta love them feeder schools....ohpobrecito wrote:HYS definitely cares.wert3813 wrote:After looking through every single person in the Harvard FB group. Ain't no way undergrad doesn't matter. Seems like half were from the ivies in the facebook group. Half were certainly from the ivies, mit, georgetown, cal, Stan, ucla, usc, duke, etc.vzapana wrote:Word. The TLS cw "undergrad doesn't matter" is actually "undergrad doesn't matter except for HYs" but people often leave out the latter half.wert3813 wrote:After looking through every single person in the Harvard FB group. I still contend that it also matters for CC but yeah, I'm glad people are finally agreeing with me that it does matter at the very top.jym_dawg wrote:The TLS cw "undergrad doesn't matter" is actually "undergrad doesn't matter except for HYs" but people often leave out the latter half.wert3813 wrote:After looking through every single person in the Harvard FB group. I think it's a different kind of strength, outside of LSAT and GPA.jbagelboy wrote:my undergrad pre-law advisor told me senior yr that stanford & columbia, among other potential schools, add +0.1 to GPAs from my college when they compare to some others. I think thats a myth (not that it would be enough to get me in anyway), but it illustrates a point

Congratulations, Tekumamba. Also, Sabanist (and others), I'm from a mid-tier public school. We send 8-10 kids to HLS each year. Undergrad doesn't seem to matter as much for HLS. But for CLS, SLS, and YLS, it's a different story. Very few from my school are lucky enough to be admitted there.sabanist wrote:Congrats!tekumamba wrote:Hey all good news! 8-10? Impressive. I'm the only one I know of, and one of my LOR professors said she'd never heard of someone going to HLS from here. One of my bros is held, though.edamame wrote: Congratulations, Tekumamba. Also, Sabanist (and others), I'm from a mid-tier public school. We send 8-10 kids to HLS each year. I think my UG is a big part of the reason I haven't heard from YLS yet (and will probably get bad news).

Nobody from my undergrad has gotten into HLS since like 1980.
