hope for similar-numbered no-news people who went complete in mid-january and who live in smallish towns where mail takes an extra week!
or a snail-mail rejection letter... we'll see

Yay. Michigan looks more and more likely with every passing day, and I'm getting more excited about it too! Im starting to maybe lean Michigan as well. Their staff is just so perfect... although, Im kind of considering NYU out of spite for Columbia.Excellence = a Habit wrote:Yay. They have been so helpful every time I've spoken with them. At other schools I still feel like a problem that has to be managed rather than an admitted student who they WANT to attend.tkgrrett wrote:Im starting to maybe lean Michigan as well. +1 to Michigan being awesome people. I didn't apply there because I thought it would be too cold for 3 years. U of M is NOT the utopia you guys are making it seem like. Trust me, I know numerous people there. With that said I have no other law schools to compare it to. If anything the administration is efficient though.tkgrrett wrote:Im starting to maybe lean Michigan as well. Having worked there for most of a year (and having lived through the Michigan winter), I know it ain't utopia... but it ain't bad.Non-Chalant1 wrote:U of M is NOT the utopia you guys are making it seem like. Econ major here. For me, efficiency is the definition of utopia. Comparing it to others.. the other amazing schools so far have been Vandy and Duke. Harvard is really good on the surface but there is definitely a bit of bureaucratic tape that would get annoying.Non-Chalant1 wrote: U of M is NOT the utopia you guys are making it seem like. I've really liked UVA. I was waitlisted last year and the deans were really nice and talked to me about my application and since I've been accepted this year(!) they've been nothing but helpful and welcoming. I had a relatively short cycle with them (about 3 weeks) so maybe I'm atypical.tkgrrett wrote:Econ major here. For me, efficiency is the definition of utopia. If you want to say more I would be interested in the perspective you have. You could pm me if you like (to take the conversation out of the CLS thread)Non-Chalant1 wrote: U of M is NOT the utopia you guys are making it seem like. Trust me, I know numerous people there. i nearly blacked out when an e-mail arrived from Cornell telling me that I'm complete... speaking of inefficiency here... Cornell is the champ.

Since, many in the Columbia thread may not have applied to Illinois, I place a vote for Dean Pless' method as number 1 in admissions efficiency from an applicant's perspective.

I feel so left out. I've been swamped with schoolwork the past couple days. Received my hold yesterday like everyone else(so maybe I don't feel that left out), but it was pretty much impossible to catch up with this thread!

Getting my 2 cents in. Here is the spectrum of efficiency from best to worst:
Duke Priority Track --------------------everything else---------------------- Columbia

You are just feeding the troll, CLS applicants. Ignore them and do not say a word about them, like me & Harvard. (I see what I did there.)
