Seconded. Working Saturday (a day that most university departments take off) and then not working on Patriots' Day seems odd- but per Wikipedia, it's a "school holiday for many local colleges and universities, both public and private," so who knows.

first 10 years after completing a humanities phd SUCK. Harvard philosophy PhD + T6 JD = decent chance at legal academia (pays way more than junior philosophy professorships) or damn good shot in private sector at making 3 or 4 times in starting salary than what that philosophy phd'd bring in.
