How long after going complete/under review were you full tuition folks informed? I've been complete since 2/4.

Yeah, like I said, i wasn't sure, but it may have just been a bunch of young attorneys who were looking into doing it...I don't know if its ongoing or just in the works.sibley wrote:By the way, to the person who said Cardozo was being sued for section stacking : I checked elaw for civil and supreme court in New York County but couldn't find anything.

the deans were pretty reassuring in their claims that it wasn't done.jk11287 wrote:Yeah, like I said, i wasn't sure, but it may have just been a bunch of young attorneys who were looking into doing it...I don't know if its ongoing or just in the works.sibley wrote:By the way, to the person who said Cardozo was being sued for section stacking : I checked elaw for civil and supreme court in New York County but couldn't find anything.

Me either but I think I'm just going to go casual. Jeans and winter boots, but probably with a nicer sweater. It could be warm, in which case I'll wear flats... but I don't want to trek around New York freezing my butt off, and they've already let me in so I don't really need to impress them, right? I'll be wandering around the city from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm and don't much want to die of exposure.

Has anyone received/inquired about the availability of cost of living scholarship money?

After I visit, if I like it enough I'm going to ask about an increase in my scholarship with assurance that for the right price I'll attend. I don't think I'll go so far as to ask for full + COL as I'm not at full yet, but the deans seem really nice and don't mind dumb questions, so go ahead and ask.Interminable_Waiting wrote:Has anyone received/inquired about the availability of cost of living scholarship money?

Got my tickets last night, going to be there on the 18th, very last minute notice, but this is the only time I can go (and get the stipend
) Some of these events tend to be business casual/professional, but hey, if you guys are wearing jeans then i am too haha

They'll help out, yes. I think up to $400 if you're more than 500 miles away.xj5 wrote:Anybody think they would help out with a flight from CA?
...only if you're already admitted, though

It's a Thursday, so you'd only need to be sick Thursday and Friday. Fly out Wednesday night, fly back Friday... would even be home in time for the weekend!

I spoke with an associate dean at the sneak peek a few weeks back and met with a financial aid rep today - they are very willing to work with students based on financial need. I didn't receive too much merit aid (almost nothing), but I received a pretty good need based grant...with no strings attached.sibley wrote:After I visit, if I like it enough I'm going to ask about an increase in my scholarship with assurance that for the right price I'll attend. how did you hear about the need based grant? I'm pretty sure I'm eligible for one but have only heard about my scholarship so far.carlkenneth wrote:I spoke with an associate dean at the sneak peek a few weeks back and met with a financial aid rep today - they are very willing to work with students based on financial need. Re: Cardozo 2010
I contacted the student finance office and the associate dean a few weeks back about needing additional aid. I found out about the need based grant this morning when I met with the financial aid rep. They are only able to determine eligibility for need based grants if you have completed your FAFSA.sibley wrote:how did you hear about the need based grant?
