Just got waitlisted at BU. Really surprised with a 166 LSAT (above 75%) and 3.69 GPA (above 50%). Very strange.

Not a single other person on LSN with a 166 was waitlisted

Just got waitlisted. Genuinely surprised because 167/3.6 seemed decent enough to get in.

Same thing happened to me. Wondering what's going on because literally everyone else with our stats has been accepted. I don't know if they think we won't attend or if they just had a lot more people deposit than typical? I'm perplexed.

Who knows... This was really unexpected though it honestly seemed like BU was a sure thing. Oh well, guess I should start packing for DC the way this is going.

In truth I want to think it is because they think we won't go but I also think it might have to do with when we applied. When did you apply?

Mid-Feb, so yeah, I guess that could be it.

Same so I guess it might be. But I can't really blame them- if I'd gotten in I would not have gone.

I also got wait listed today with a 166/3.65. Really surprised. I was hoping for some money.

Maybe they're waitlisting everyone at this point. I don't know. Pretty disappointed.

I would have (or at least considered it). Was going to stay on the waitlist, but I just decided it's not worth it. I want to make a concrete decision soon, and the chances of getting the kind of money I would want there seem slim if I'm coming off the waitlist.

I'm sorry about that. What schools are you choosing between at the moment?

Right now it's between two very different schools - Cardozo and Emory. Cardozo if I want to play it safe, stay in New York, and have very little debt. Emory if I decide I want to make the move to Atlanta and don't mind taking out some more loans. I want to do public interest work, so the money at Cardozo is very tempting, but Emory is my favorite of the schools I've gotten into...

I've been waitlisted since early April (Applied mid Jan) but I honestly thought I'd get straight up denied (157 LSAT and 3.67 GPA) but I know I had a killer application. Anyways they sent me an email last week (after I sent my LOCI) saying they are in the process of taking people off the waitlist since their deposit deadline is past and to be patient basically. Anyone else receive this email?

Great, they're going to the waitlist already and I still haven't even received my initial decision.
