I called the admissions office in a similar situation - just frame it as "making sure there isn't anything else expected from me". If it actually is just the interviewer, they'll confirm that you had the interview already and then follow up with the interviewer on their end. Mine flipped to complete later that day.

People way overthink getting in touch with the admissions office... if you have a legitimate question, they have no issue with you calling in. They all go as far as to specify that we should do that.
So I dialed the number for Admissions and as I listened to their automated greeting I thought maybe I should check my status checker one last time just to make sure I'm not magically complete after all these days. And I was!

Glad I checked! Thank you for your insight though, rska. Good to know other people are being recruited in this manner as well.
Not a problem, good to hear it got resolved. Your interviewer was probably just busy and hadn't gotten around to filing their notes - that's what happened for me. I assume admissions sent him a little reminder and it got resolved quickly, but good to see yours was handled without all that.

Does anyone know about how many people Northwestern accepts ED? I've been looking and can't seem to find it.

Take a look at this spreadsheet: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=253919 (click on Northwestern). There are 12 listed here and then a few more at lawschoolnumbers.com. Looks to me that approx 20 were ED admits.

Anyone else see the entirety of Making a Murderer on netflix?

Northwestern's Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth (a clinic) gets an impressive cameo in the last episode.

I won't spoil anything, but suffice it to say that they are fearsome and dedicated. The whole thing is fascinating and worth a watch. Not a bad way to get inspired (or maybe get totally disillusioned, depending on your perspective) before law school.

Watched it/have been following the news pretty obsessively. Their overall Wrongful Convictions Center (I think the Youth center is separate) is very reputable. I want to go into public interest law and my interviewer talked about how one of the center's exonerations helped abolish the death penalty in IL.

If you're into making a murderer, I'd also recc the central park 5 (pretty sure it's streaming on netflix). Deals with the same issue of unreliable confessions, criminal justice for youth and a whole lot more.

Yeah I saw that. Making a Murderer is also very similar to the Staircase, I think it actually inspired the documentary. It follows the trial of a man accused of killing his wife and goes behind the scene with the defense, in case other people are interested.

I am sure this question has been answered but can someone tell me about the interview process, including the types of questions, when you have to do your interview, etc?

Not trying to be an ass - but you'll probably get the most complete answer if you use the search topic feature for the word "interview."

Close to two months now with no movement. I submitted 11/20, interviewed on dec 10th, and nothing since. I called 12/22 and they said to call back if I was still incomplete after the new year. Lo and behold ... I'm calling again tomorrow.

This.

In a nutshell, in-person interviews are best, but a video interview is better than none at all. I think they may be slowing down on the on/off campus interviews though, and your only option at this point might be the video. I interviewed with an alum, so I can't be of much help for video-specific questions, but I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for if you dig enough. Basically, explain why law, why law now, why NW, and talk about your work experience or lackthereof. That seems like the core set of questions that most of the interviews have hit on. As far as when you have to do your interview, I'd say you're a little late to the game at this point, so you might want to set that up as soon as you can. Hope that helps!

Submitted my online interview on 12/15 and am still sitting at app incomplete. Is it time to give admissions a call?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
