Re: University of Florida Levin College of Law c/o 2018
Hey just to give some more information to everyone, I went on a campus tour on the 19th and I spoke to Ms. Castro the director of admissions. She said they are still in the process of figuring out deposits and what not. I did tell her I was on the wait list and she told me not to give up because they accepted a good majority of the students from the wait list last year. She says a handful of students don't deposit and another two handfuls end up withdrawing over the summer because they have received acceptances to other schools or decided to go elsewhere. She says they aim for the cut off on admitting students from the waitlist two weeks prior to August 11th because they understand that August 11th does not offer much time to move and get settled in. I don't know if she was saying all this just because she didn't want to say uh well you're screwed haha or if its true, but I will remain hopeful because she did seem persistent when she said to remain hopeful and to check my emails.

I was accepted off the wait-list by UF yesterday morning. I am writing this post to tell those of you still waiting to not give up hope! At first I was not going to post that I was accepted because I hated the defeated feeling I would get seeing more and more people being accepted and not hearing anything myself, it slowly killed my optimism. I am posting this though because UF's email to me stated more people will be accepted these coming days. Also if you read the blogs from last year, UF continued to accept people as late as July. Keep your heads up and check your email daily!

Do you mind saying your LSAT score? I am staying hopeful but I want to be realistic about the possibility of being offered admission and would like to get a idea of who they are accepting right now.

Has anyone heard of anyone getting in off the waitlist since last week?
Also curious which schools have the deposit deadlines that UF keeps waiting for?

Admitted students, who have seat deposited, had to submit a final confirmation form again last week stating that we have withdrawn all other applications and don't have multiple seat deposits in.

As much as I would like to think that there might be movement off the waitlist (preferably myself, but also good luck to the rest of us) do to the confirmation form, I would think there would be more possible chances once the June LSAT is released and these mystery Hogwarts type schools have there deadlines.

How did those June LSAT scores work out for those that participated? Days are ticking by so quickly! Silent anticipation on this forum lately, hope everyone is doing well.

If you have been wait-listed here, consider it a blessing. If you have put down your seat deposit, get the hell out while you still can.
I just graduated from here (top 1/3 of my class, with honors) and just sat for the Bar Exam, along with 3100 other recent law school graduates attempting to get admitted to the FL Bar. I, like most other recent graduates of this school, are very much jobless. I have had more interviews and callbacks than I I can count at this point, but the reality is simply that few places are hiring, and there are far too many lawyers in FL. Jobs that once went to UF/FSU Law graduates are being swallowed up by kids from Harvard, NYU, Duke, etc. who are infiltrating the Florida market. Ask other recent graduates of this school-shaped toilet if you don't believe me.
PM me if you want the non-sugarcoated perspective of this school.

Tennis Dude, comments on the merits of a school are not allowed in this forum - it's purely for exchanging info about acceptances/waitlists/denials. Take it elsewhere.

I am trying to do these kids a favor. If you want to keep propagating the law school scam on future generations, you are part of the problem.A. There are plenty of other parts of this forum for you to do this favor. This is not one of them.Tennis Dude wrote:I am trying to do these kids a favor.
