This is on my SC page:rebexness wrote:Did anything show up on your SC or the Admitted Students Portal?
A decision has been made on your application and an email will be sent shortly to the primary email account listed on your application. It is the Admissions Office policy not to post final decisions on the status check page. Decisions are emailed to each individual applicant.
And nothing on the ASW

An admissions officer emailed me and wants to speak over the phone on Monday. Wonder what it's about, I figured if they wanted to offer the travel stipend it would be easy enough to do so via email.

Just checking in...
Applied: 1 Nov
Interview Invite: 12 Nov
Interview: 17 Nov (telephone, about 2 hours ago)
My interview was with Anna Donovan. She was a delight. It seemed quite casual and the questions were mostly concerning my decision to join the military and study law. I do not know why, but I was very nervous the whole time. I have defused dozens of explosive devices, yet I cannot recall ever being quite so nervous as I was immediately prior to and during the interview. I am worried that I may have rambled on a bit long for some of the questions, but all in all it was a pleasant experience.
I guess I will find out how it went via email in a couple of weeks or so. With that said, she never really even alluded to acceptance/rejection. In previous years' threads I read that some actually received the admissions offers (or hints of acceptance) at the conclusion of the interview. Is that something to worry about, or has that simply changed?

Nah def. don't worry about it. Last year some people did get the "hint", others didn't. Fwiw, I didn't get any hint, and I'm here.sarge wrote:Just checking in...

None of you happened to visit my contracts class today did you? Because there were like 3 kids visiting, one of which I would like to marry.

Hey Scott, question since you are SBA. We have kids visit my property class like every day. Would it be out of place for me to suggest to admissions to not send prospective students to Mandelker? He is awful and I hate for kids to think all our profs are like that. For instance, I've never seen a visitor in Goldwasser, and she is fantastic.scottidsntknow wrote:None of you happened to visit my contracts class today did you? Totally not out of place, you ok with telling admissions that? You can just email them.LET'S GET IT wrote:Hey Scott, question since you are SBA. We have kids visit my property class like every day. No I'm totally comfortable telling them. I would just hate for people to get the impression that all our profs are like that or that all law school classes are like that. When I was visiting schools, I always assumed they were sending me to see a good professor for strategic reasons. I'm literally afraid if they sit in on Mandelker, it could be the deciding reason for them not choosing WASHU if it's close between us and some other school.scottidsntknow wrote:Totally not out of place, you ok with telling admissions that? PSA: if any of you have sat in on that class, both our other doctrinal profs are really good just FYI.

Fair enough, good call. Our Ks class was really bad at answering questions today and our prof told the visiting 0Ls that it was because we just had our memos, and that you do in fact have to read for class

Two things learned in Mandelker's Property class this semester: JACK and SHIT. At least he's gotten better about the throat clearing as of late.

Checking in!
My numbers are 3.64/162 so I'm probably borderline, but WashU is my second choice, so I'm also very hopeful!
I'm just waiting on recommendation letters and then I'll send my application in!
