I discussed this in a previous post, but yes, looking at the decision timeline from previous years, by late February/early March, any applicants who haven't heard back are basically facing a waitlist or rejection. It seems like the people who have not heard anything now are essentially being considered for the final handful of spots.whjohnso444 wrote:If one went complete in mid January and hasn't heard anything does that mean it's probably a waitlist or ding?

According to mylsn they accept about as many January apps in March as they do in January.

I went complete mid-December and sent in a LOCI two weeks ago, but I was sure to have something legit to talk about

Anyone here already accept their UCLA admission? I'm probably 90% going to choose UCLA and curious what other TLS-er I'm going to meet there. Maybe this is a little bit early to ask.

UCLA is a legit option, but it's too early for me to decide.

Re: UCLA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
I'm SO happy. I got accepted to UCLA last week, but was so excited I forgot to post about it! I'm 25%>LSAT<50% and GPA>50%
Dean Schwartz is incredibly nice. And for me UCLA is a TOP choice because geographically, it's where I want to be and academically, they have the exact clinics and legal specializations I want. The Williams Institute and the Epstein Program are also HUGE draws. If I get into Epstein, I 99% will go.

I'm also very interested in the Williams Institute. I wrote about it on my app and they've been definitely reaching out in different ways regarding it, so I'm thinking it was maybe influential in the admissions decision.MnM22 wrote:I'm SO happy. Congratulations! When did you go complete? It looks like we have pretty similar stats, so I was wondering. I wrote a bit about wanting to pursue a Specialization in Law & Philosophy because 1) that is something I am pretty interested in & 2) I didn't want to just be a set of numbers, so I'm hoping that helps me a little.MnM22 wrote:I'm SO happy. So even after the interview they requested and furnishing them with very significant offers (PM for details) from Wash U., ND, and UMN, UCLA gave me NO merit-aid. Which is disappointing, as there is no way I can make UCLA work now.

Pretty much no cold:
"I’m sorry to inform you that you have not been selected by the Scholarship Committee to receive a merit award. We still hope you will join our UCLA Law community this fall. Please stay in touch with any questions."

I don't know if I'm going to approach them with other offers (say, from Texas) if I get anything else significant, but I'm pretty hesitant to. If they had given me even 5-10K, that at least would have started a dialogue, but this is a straight stonewall.rion91 wrote:That is about as blunt as you can get.AceDeuces wrote:rion91 wrote:Was it just a cold no? Sorry if you've already posted elsewhere in this thread, but could I ask what your numbers are? Feel free to PM or just give ranges/estimations if you'd rather not say. Also, how do you feel the interview went?AceDeuces wrote:

Re: UCLA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
Interview went okay I thought. Not my best ever, not my worst. But it was over Skype, and I hate those. Anyway I think my numbers are in my profile, so I might as well put them here: 168/3.7. So you know, around their median. I wasn't expecting huge money, just something to make doing UCLA from way out of state feasible.Hitchensian wrote:Sorry if you've already posted elsewhere in this thread, but could I ask what your numbers are? Thanks! Went complete 1/30. It has been the fastest turn around time from any of the schools I applied to.mes10d wrote:Congratulations! When did you go complete? I also applied to the Epstein Program so I think that it kind of served as a "Why UCLA?"

Went complete today. I'm at both the 25ths so I'm assuming a rejection here... ho hum. Taking the LSAT again and applying next cycle but still keeping my apps in as a shot in the dark.
