Because the numbers refer to weeks of the month (that confused me too initially!). So the first wave of acceptances came in the third week of November, which isn't next week.Sourrudedude wrote:Can someone explain to me the line graph on the front page and why it doesn't mean that decisions will come next week?

Just has my JS1 today. Super chill, I got the feeling that they really just wanted to learn more about me and make sure I could carry on a conversation. Interview thread and last years applicant thread were both great resources. Don't sweat it and be yourself, good luck everyone!

Wow, you're smarter than me. My dumb brain just thought "Welp, guess they didn't accept anyone past the 4th of the month a bunch of times". Haha no it's totally understandable. However I'm sure that our quest to understand this graph would make a great personal statement topic. I'm just glad there wasn't a section on the LSAT that tested our ability to read something and understand what it means...CyanIdes Of March wrote:Wow, you're smarter than me. Oh cottonmouth, how you trip me up.
Just finished with JS. As mentioned before, it's very chill. Almost all of my questions were based on my resume, and she left a good 5min for me to ask her questions.
And re: the above- I don't plan on following up. They're doing 1200 interviews, and I'm sure they don't need to extra e-mails in their inboxes.
Good luck with the interviews/apps everyone! I'm off to wait nervously for the next ___ months.

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Also finished with JS today, and as everyone has mentioned before, the process is extremely relaxed. She asked me questions almost entirely about my resume and personal statement, with the exception of the usual 'Why Now' and 'Why Harvard' questions. I went in prepared with 5-6 short stories I might use to answer general questions about accomplishments, but I ended up not needing any of them.
Even though I had the interview so early, however, I likely won't hear in the first round, because she hinted that since I'm graduating in three years, they want to see one more semester of grades before they make a final decision. But who knows, maybe I convinced her and I'll hear back in three weeks! Now comes the waiting game...

I think I would burst into laughter after being asked 'Why Harvard'binary_theatrics wrote:She asked me questions almost entirely about my resume and personal statement, with the exception of the usual 'Why Now' and 'Why Harvard' questions.

I did not, I interviewed with one of the other admissions folks. Hoping that doesn't necessarily mean anything bad...Humbert Humbert wrote:Seems like almost everyone is interviewing with JS, no?

Any chance you can tell us the type of questions they asked? I'd like to know how the others compare with JS.meowmeowmeow wrote:I did not, I interviewed with one of the other admissions folks. Can't believe it's really happening. Waiting on an LoR, but should be in within the week.
ETA: Annoying Q, anybody wanna chance me by %? 165, 167, 174, 3.82. Good W/E. Numbers VERY slightly fudged.

I'd go with 75-80 percent based on last cycle's numbers on MYLSN.wtrc wrote:Can't believe it's really happening. Waiting on an LoR, but should be in within the week.

I would say the same as with JS. Very casual, stuck to my resume, friendly, left time for questions, etc.wtrc wrote:Would be interested in this as well.drawstring wrote:Any chance you can tell us the type of questions they asked? Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
We have very similar numbers and I've judged myself to have a coin flips chance at acceptance. I got my JS1, so if everything else in your app is free of red flags I'd say you have the same and could expect a JS1. However, I'm told I'm a pessimist, so maybe we've got better chances than I think. Or maybe worse, who knowswtrc wrote:Can't believe it's really happening. Lol weren't you pouting about not getting a JS1 earlier ITT? Maybe that was someone else. Congrats though, brah. When did you submit+JS1?
