I really hope I don't get:
Republic, Lost
Nudge
Scorpions
The Case for Israel
Why?
Because I've read them all.
Pwned.

Genuinely touched. While I understand writing ones thesis on saving the world and from poverty, education, inequality doesn't make me unique itt, I was also impressed with what I felt was some careful reading of my resume to choose a book when there were other more obvious choices.

This book called Three Cups of Tea. It the real life story of this man who built all these schools in the third world and runs an amazing charity. The note inside said, "We think you'll be like this man one day."TrustInMusic wrote:Which book did you get?wert3813 wrote:Genuinely touched. Stones of Hope. Obviously, haven't read it, but it seem not unlike Half the Sky which is one of my favorite books.

But man! That's fantastic! HLS is going so hard... They've been so nice and helpful! I pity all those trying to make the HYS decision.
(Starting to secretly pray that only HLS accepts me

The attention Harvard is giving is making it difficult to say no
man, they're really coming hard, I thought they'd be more aloof after admitting us

Have you had any luck with a studio near campus? I've looked pretty extensively and it seems impossible without extra $ from family. I even met with a financial aid officer about this (I'm a SUPER light sleeper and am worried about roommates bc of the noise issue) and they basically laughed at me. With the monthly student budget at 2100/mo total it seems impossible to get anywhere near Cambridge. Please let me know if you have any better luck!housebro13 wrote:I'm thinking about doing a studio near campus. I'll only want a roommate if I get a two bedroom apartment. I'm also looking into Harvard University housing. What about you?andreskicdo wrote:For those not doing the dorms, what are your plans re houseing? studio, roommates?

I looked at studios, but do not think it's gonna be possible because it would basically eat up my whole student budget. I want to do a 2 br apt swhere in Cambridge, but was going to wait until ASW to see if somebody was lookign for roommates.
