Chem is the man. He splits season tickets to the Dodgers and Lakers. He auctioned tickets to one of the Dodgers games at the student-only portion of the PILF auction this past Saturday--so a few students who bid high enough get to watch the game with Chem. Unfortunately, Chem doesn't drink, but I'm sure it'll be fun nonetheless.

Current UC student, applied about a month ago. Today I received an email about applying for a scholarship at UC Irvine Law that said "Dear Class of 2016" at the beginning of it. Can I read into this?

I assume it is about outside scholarship opportunities. It seems like only recent admits heard anything about it, and I remember receiving an email about it when I was first accepted. With that said, I could be wrong.

I would say it is safe to say you are accepted since it is adressed to the class of 2016. Let me see if I still have the email and see when I received it. I received them after my acceptance. I think it is safe to say you are in. What are your numbers though? I recieved my official acceptance email at 4:40pm or so PST. So you may be getting the acceptance later today.

Update us if you get confirmation of an acceptance. I really can't think they would make such a huge mistake. So be optimistic on your situations.

I had a similar experience with the ASW invite. I think it's safe to assume you're in. FYI, earlier admits were receiving e-mail acceptances, but lately admits haven't gotten letters in the mail (myself included).

I emailed them. I prefaced the email with, "at the risk of sounding overeager." The response was delightful -- said I should have a letter in the mail today (I'm in San Diego).
