So is the consensus to wear a suit for the interview? As for communication, headset? Got an interview tomorrow.

Left my suit jacket at school, have my friend's gray jacket, not sure if I'll wear it yet. KJD, so trying to come across as professional as possible lol. Has anyone done theirs yet?

No shirt and tie here. Still dressed professionally. Dress code at the office is casual/business casual.
I think you're fine going with a suit and tie. Just make sure you are comfortable. There is a fine line between being professional and being stiff.
Best of luck!

Question for people getting interviews: did you tailor your apps to Chicago in any way or write a Why Chicago essay? I didn't see that they asked for one and didn't submit anything additional... now I'm spazzing myself out that I'll be WL. Can someone tell me I'm either being psychotic or that I should submit something additional asap. Gracias.

Since they specifically said not to submit anything extra, don't worry about it. I integrated Chicago into the end of my PS, but it wasn't anything spectacular.Spritzpiggy wrote:Question for people getting interviews: did you tailor your apps to Chicago in any way or write a Why Chicago essay? Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Checking in. App submitted today after Dec LSAT.
171/4.0. Most likely will not get in due to late application and 167 October LSAT score, but its worth a shot anyway I think.
Couple questions...
1) What % of those admitted have an interview beforehand? What % of those with interviews gain admission? I know this year is the first year for the new program, but what have we seen so far?
2) What type of timetable are we seeing from submitted-->review-->interview? 2 months? So, if selected am I looking at March for hearing back?
3) For those admitted, whats the status on merit aid? Do they provide it with your offer of admission? Or do you get a letter a month later? Do you need to apply afterwards for it?
4) For those admitted / denied, how were you informed of their decision? I'm still stranded from my apartment because of Sandy and USPS mail forwarding is spotty, at best. Any information at all would be appreciated.
Thank you all and looking forward to riding this out.

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Same. And I was definitely interviewed as a borderline candidate given my numbers. I felt the interview was definintely a way for them to guage your interest in Chicago, so make sure that when/if you get an interview that you seem enthusiastic about attenting (hopefull genuinely so).bobr wrote:NothingSpritzpiggy wrote:Question for people getting interviews: did you tailor your apps to Chicago in any way or write a Why Chicago essay?
