Here I am looking at sticker price basically being told I have less of a chance at doing well than the girl next to me who got a full ride. Other than that, the school was nice. Still tho, it left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Why would that piss you off? All schools give merit scholarships based on the index created from GPA/LSAT numbers. It's also been documented year after year that higher LSAT generally means a better
chance of doing well in 1L year.

First off, you had to be there. He was very matter o fact about it and it just came off rude. Even the girl with the full ride made a comment about that to me (and she didn't know I had no offer). I am sure there is a correlation between performance and LSAT but they include GPA in the index and don't consider your major or UG school you went to. Had I known I was going to go to LS right out of UG I would have picked communications as my major and gotten a 4.0....

You're right, he probably could have presented it much more tactfully from the way it sounds. Are you committed to attending USD at sticker?

Yes, unfortunately. I have offers at a few other T2s ($$ and $) but they are lower ranked than USD and according to LST the employment statistics are vastly different. After some careful consideration (and also taking into account what my partner wants) USD at sticker looks like the better option. My only goal now is to focus on my class rank and hopefully climb to the top.

Well I applied FT, but selected that I would accept PT. I'll be happy with an acceptance to either program, it would just affect how many hours I spend in the office and how much help I'll need to hire.

I'm gonna be looking for a roommate soon as well. I think FB is a good way to look!

Anyone have any success getting an extension on their April 30th deposit deadline?
I just got into pepperdine and have yet to see any of the scholarship/financial info. I really don't have the money to make two deposits.

I'm in the same position, but ended up making a deposit to USD just in case. What's the deciding factors your decision at this point?

Did everyone else on the waitlist receive the e-mail today about the status of the waitlist and the June 1 deposit for admitted students?

Has anyone that has been admitted received any scholarships at a later date? Or been able to negotiate a scholarship from the school? I am very interested in attending, but at sticker, that's a tough decision.

I called them today inquiring about scholarships and such. They said they would know nothing until after the seat deposit and couldn't discuss if I even had a remote chance at a scholarship. Since this was the 2nd time I attempted the whole scholarship thing, I gave up. I'd love to go to sunny California. I withdrew today, so whoever gets my seat, congratulations!!

Current student at USD Law if you have any questions PM me. I was accepted off of the wait list and attended the school a sticker.
I would not advise taking out considerable debt for this school.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
