I had my application go to "complete" 01/12, even though it was originally complete 12/10.

No email for me, just confusion. Did everyone/most all people who had their status changed to "complete" 01/12 get an email today? Or am I just so completely drained from a week of working that I'm unable to comprehend basic human communication?

Sorry for the lag. Email came at 12:59 today, with three more emails in the next few hours. I actually received the email one moment before I began my alumni interview for Gtown... I was very relaxed

I got denied (not even waitlisted) when LSP had me as a strong consider. Did this happen to anybody else?

I have no real WE, for the record.

Also, I canceled my interview (requested, but never scheduled) because I logistically could not do it.

IDK, I am just kind of shocked about the denial. I was way above their GPA 75th and I have a 170 LSAT.

I'm pretty sure the bolded is why. This is speculation, but it seems like they view the interview as being really important. If I was borderline (only out of school 1 year, median-ish GPA, 75th LSAT), the only reason I got in was my interview. Yeah, I just remembered, my interviewer was really pleased and said he'd let them know that even though I don't have 2 years of work experience, that I would be fine regardless. It might be that if you have no work experience and don't have a really good interview to compensate for that, numbers may not even matter.

Annnnd you'll get into some other great, if not better, schools as well

Thank you. I got into UChi, but I just wanted to keep my options open for Chicago. I never thought that I would be flat-out denied at NU. It just shocked me a little bit.

Also, FWIW, I was unable to do the interview (couldn't drive three hours each way for a one hour interview at the time), not laziness or anything.

Thank you. I got into UChi, but I just wanted to keep my options open for Chicago. I never thought that I would be flat-out denied at NU. It just shocked me a little bit.

Reading the admit packet and all there lit I think they are terrified of admitting Frat Boys since they kind of market themselves as the serious, hard-working, business feeder school of the T14. I think without WE to prove that you are interested in getting a corporate job or an interview to show that you are mature they simply will not risk their rep unless the numbers are insane enough that you must have taken school extremely (too) seriously.

Yeah I doubt there was anything at all wrong with your app. But if you don't have an interview, they don't get to see how bomb you are, and you're probably pretty bomb if you've gotten into great schools like Chicago

I'm sure mine does as well. I wanted to do an interview with NU, but decided not to. It didn't make a difference for me, but I'm sure the WE did.
