It's a good thing you have your scholarship, right?
Ha, this so isn't about me.

But, I will say that I would never pay 40k/ year to go to Temple.
The acceptances/denials forum is probably the one place on TLS where people can discuss their decisions without unsolicited assessments of those decisions.

Congratulations on your scholarship. Now shut the fuck up.

I've been reading tls forever and just started posting. I got waitlisted at temple. oos 163 3.0 gpa ... I'm trying not to be heartbroken. I sent a loci basically saying an offer of admission would not be turned down.. anyone know how bad life is on the waitlist at temple...i.e. when/if I'll hear back?

The one thing I really hate about TLS is dumbass 22 year olds, or whatever you are, thinking they are the shit and talking down to the world.

I don't know your specific situation or the execution of the waitlist at Temple, but I would say that you're be in good standing to be taken off if a spot opens up (which I would expect it to). Did you apply late?

I got waitlisted last year and then again this year. Last year they didn't use the waitlist at all. This year, the entire admissions landscape is different so who knows what to expect. But last year after I sent in my form and LOCI, I never heard from Temple again other than me calling and asking questions.

Anyone who got in in February willing to share their application dates?

I know I applied late, (1/7), but I'd love to know when I MIGHT know. I applied the same date and got into 'Nova already.

Thanks!

I'm very interested in Temple, but applied really late (2/5). With that said, I haven't heard back from Temple at all...not even an acknowledgement of application receipt. Should I reach out to admissions to confirm receipt? Thanks.

I applied "late", in mid Jan, and it took me about a month to get my email with status checker info. I would say either waiting a few more days or emailing now, either one would make sense.

I have a few questions I'd like to bounce around...

A while ago, I sent an email to Temple telling them that $7,500 per year was not enough for me to consider the school and they just sent me a new offer of $10,000 a year.

Better, but still not good enough. :?

was this a withdrawal email or a negotiation email?

Kinda both. I said I will not be attending with this scholarship. So I guess they took that as a negotiation email.

Either way, it's a sign Temple is open to negotiation.
