Complete since 11/11. I called the admissions office to make sure everything was in order. They said I should be under review "soon."

Got the rejection e-mail today. Not surprising with my numbers (3.67/164) but it never hurts to throw a hail mary. Best of luck to everyone else!

Yeah Cornell EA admissions seems to be almost purely random at this point. Maybe they threw all the apps they liked down a stairwell and picked the ones that landed face up?

Also since you got into Boalt I'm assuming that you had at least above average ps/resume, which makes Cornell deferral even more confounding.

I am going to take the high road and think that I am soooo amazing they decided to want me to at least prove to them that I didn't just apply just to apply.

I stopped worrying about why I got deferred when I got the call from Boalt. It was awesome timing!

Thank you everyone! I am super happy, and at least I didn't take up another admission spot from any one of you, maybe that's the bright side.

I really depresses me how heavily the LSAT is weighed in these admissions decisions. The difference between a 167 and a 170 is only 3 tiny little questions on a 3 hour exam! ...I would think that GPA/Resume would be a better indicator of performance.

Ah, just anxiously awaiting a decision! Here's hoping that great softs and a Masters degree push me through despite a 166/3.6 ...Does anyone know if Cornell looks upon softs and public service experience heavily?

Anyone else from the "Complete 11/17" group still waiting?

They don't seem to weigh it more than any other school does.

I was in this group too but updated to complete on 11/29...and it says that I am indeed being considered for early action.

One reason I could be delayed is that I applied for the dual degree in France.
