Congrats! Just checked your stats... maybe they're changing their "solid wall" policy this year.xxxo wrote:Oh em gee congrats!!gtjackets530 wrote:Got my acceptance in the mail today with $30,000 scholarship. Hmmm, I was hoping they were just going to give everyone full rides in the first batch for making us wait so long.

i doubt many schools would keep a solid wall when they can get a nice, sexy 4.0 under their belt.HeavenWood wrote:Congrats! Wait - so are they sending letters to the "Permanent Mailing Address"? On the app, it says that the "Current Mailing Address" is used for "all correspondence from our office".
Also, there's a little box that says "Please use permanent address after this date..." Could it be that you put too early a date there?

18k a year! That's legit considering you are sitting pretty close to the median. Congrats! If we get any 165'ers with scholly PM me (I have a 165/3.9) but I'm sitting in Arizona so I probably wont hear from Emory for a few days. Dang I wish I would have guessed right on the last few reading comp questions!!!NonTradHealthLaw wrote:3.5 / 167 / old-timer

Re: Emory 2011
hey all. i see the "stacks" are finally getting out. i talked to dean ethan today about it. the first batch is big, but it isn't the total number of acceptances that are going out. but the acceptances are coming. again, i am one of those who picked emory, the good life down south, and cash over some other options, and i'm a zero-regretter. pm if you have questions, or if your situation puts you in that enviable position of having to choose among a bunch of great options. and feel free to brag in your pms! congratulations!

Decatur/tuckerish. I'm kidding. Wouldn't put my other half and 4 dogs through two psycho law students. Will just settle for being the Thanksgiving dinner location.fatduck wrote:what neighborhood?NonTradHealthLaw wrote:Maybe I am the special snowflake my mom says I am. But it's $30,000 total. $10,000/year.

now and then for appetizer happy hour, but that's about it. i actually spend most of my time over in grant park at republic, but that's only because a friend of mine is dating a bartender.NonTradHealthLaw wrote:I'm 3/4 of the way through their beer list....but a guy's got goals.

republic is really only good for getting hammered. try the "poor man's platter" in the appetizers section: 1 house beer, 1 mixed drink, 1 shot of jager for $6.66. the "baller's platter" is any beer, top shelf mixed drink, and a double shot of don julio for $15.55.NonTradHealthLaw wrote:Porter in L5 has been my newest addiction. Well, that's 2 (?) people claiming they were accepted. Seems like no reason to doubt them, so I guess decisions *are* coming out ... slowly
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
