I've already said this in another thread, but given CLS's tendency to send news toward the end of the day I'm predicting that around 4:30 EST the dings will start rolling. Anyone who submitted early and survives the ding wave can probably breathe a little easier since if we weren't held they clearly know what they're going to do with us. If not today, it's coming tomorrow.dulcatis wrote:Any 1/31 would've gotten to me already (in NYC). So I have no idea what they're going to do with me :/

Yeah, i'm pretty sure CR is in and the mail is just taking a while. Hopefully the same deal for you too. Didn't it take CR like 3 weeks to get his NYU letter? He could still have a long wait for a VCE.7ED wrote:chalk me up to the forgotten with no hold/waitlist survivors. 171/3.83. I am really hoping (with Castlerock) that the VCE is just taking a long time to get to the remote northern peripheries XD.

Re: Columbia 2011!
I just read through this morning's activity: so Columbia wasn't done yesterday? Is waitlisting even more people and now reserving them too? (And one guy got held yesterday and reserved TODAY?)
Still no flat-out rejections? Anything else I should be aware of?
Also, sorry to azn and r6 -- that is unreal!

Hey man, until they invent a better method of transmitting admissions decisions than postal mail, we really can't complain.Non-Chalant1 wrote:Columbia's admissions department is definitely TTT in the mailing category.

We should all petition USNWR to add a new category to their rankings - applicant satisfaction with notification method.Non-Chalant1 wrote:Columbia's admissions department is definitely TTT in the mailing category.

Re: Columbia 2011!
Columbia sent out a few holds today, but a lot of reserves. There was confusion--azn never got held, just reserved. Someone claimed that rejection letters went out on the 1st, but no one was able to back up that claim. I think someone somewhere along the line got a 1/31 VCE.akikaze wrote:I just read through this morning's activity: so Columbia wasn't done yesterday? Law_Monkey is from LA, where the Playboy Mansion is located. Coincidence? Re: Columbia 2011!
Okay, thanks! This is one hell of a cycle -- can't believe the stats of some of these people getting reserved! Fortunately r6 has amazing options and swept NYU + MVPB...c_dubya_s wrote:Columbia sent out a few holds today, but a lot of reserves. There was confusion--azn never got held, just reserved. People on reserve: are you going to withdraw or stay on? Is it normal for Columbia to reserve this early in the cycle?

Re: Columbia 2011!
Does anyone know if CLS delivers rejections through mail? Cuz the whole VCE think okay, fine, but if rejections come via post-horse as well... gosh that would be *really* painful.CastleRock wrote:Yep, 3 weeks.Knock wrote:Yeah, i'm pretty sure CR is in and the mail is just taking a while. Re: Columbia 2011!
Just a guess, but their pattern seems to be only acceptances are coming out through snail mail. It kind of doesn't make sense that they would email just the middle decisions.7ED wrote:Does anyone know if CLS delivers rejections through mail?
