Yea, that was more like: we don't know anymore then you do about our WL at this time. We'll get back to you.Amelie wrote:No problem, although they pretty much didn't provide any answers hahaUnitas wrote:Maybe I was right and rejections will start at 4:30..![]()

Not bad though.... Also did those getting WLed send LOCI's in time for them to have read before WLing? I know this sounds stupid, but I am curious.

What's the timestamp? Mine was 2:31. It might be useful for those anxiously waiting right now to know if there was one batch or if they are trickling in.epicfail wrote:held at the end of march and just got WL. i bet they didn't even read the stuff i sent in last week! shoot...

And Unitas: I didn't send an LOCI (had nothing relevant to update with). Edit - though I did send an additional LOR right after being held.

so it seems they are sending the emails out in a trickle. guess that means I'll be waiting at my laptop from now until, um, 6pm,5pm? how many more hours of this?

Probably around 3 hours of this (I got my hold between 5 and 6). I think the news will become grimmer (WL to rejections) as the day progresses though.of Benito Cereno wrote:so it seems they are sending the emails out in a trickle. guess that means I'll be waiting at my laptop from now until, um, 6pm,5pm? how many more hours of this?
All the WL's seem right around 2:30 so they may be done for today with them...

Ugh. I thought that I had accepted that Harvard was not going to happen and was not a realistic option and yet I still feel sick to my stomach.

do you think holds will get outright rejections?Unitas wrote:Probably around 3 hours of this (I got my hold between 5 and 6). if only past years lsn percentages were a perfect perdictor of reality as then they would need to accept 19.98% of applicants and thus 9 or 10 more pending-profiles. too bad that's clearly not the case. I guess pretty much all future admits this cycle will be wl/a.

Nah, I disagree about all that is left is wl/a. I think monday they will send out four or five JR1s and maybe a few JR2s.of Benito Cereno wrote:do you think holds will get outright rejections?Unitas wrote:Probably around 3 hours of this (I got my hold between 5 and 6). I do think some holds will get rejected today.... We'll have to wait for the first one to see though. Sorry if it does happen.

Re: Harvard 2010!
I thought they might do it today, but throwing a few JR1s into a huge bloodbath of WL is probably not best. First, it would increase the chance for a mistake in sending someone a JR1. Second, if they are doing it in batches they just finished up the for sure WL, then will probably finish up the for sure rejects. Then on monday they can look at the rest refreshed and offer a few JR1s and decide on the rest to be WL or rejected.bloodonthetracks wrote:why JR's on monday? why not today?Unitas wrote: Nah, I disagree about all that is left is wl/a. Just how I would think to do it. Nothing based on fact.

seems to be how the email schools tend to do it...a dozen WLs followed a few hours later by a hundred rejections.Unitas wrote:I think the news will become grimmer (WL to rejections)...

Re: Harvard 2010!
sorry. That probably sounded awfully negative. I should point out that unlike PN and BG, I have no idea how these things work. I pretty much make it up as I go and hope no one calls my bluff.soonergirl wrote:seems to be how the email schools tend to do it...a dozen WLs followed a few hours later by a hundred rejections.Unitas wrote:I think the news will become grimmer (WL to rejections)...

Haha so do I, and I through some disclaimers in here and there. It seems reasonable though.soonergirl wrote:sorry. That probably sounded awfully negative. Also, I don't think anyone with a JR1 has been WLed yet, so it is almost certain there is going to be another WL batch.

Re: Harvard 2010!
Wow, got my WL email at 3:53, expected to be rejected given <25% LSAT, ~25% GPA.
Maybe I should've gotten that LOCI to them sooner, although now at least I have something to say when I accept a spot on the waitlist...

Waitlisted as well. Happy given my sub-3.7 GPA. Got it 12:54 (3:54).
