Mine switched to decision mailed 1/5 and there seem to be very few of us with that date out there. Good news? Bad?


Hoping this isn't my first outright rejection!

The consensus seems to be that the 1/5 batch is acceptances. Of course, I am also in that batch, so that's what I'm hoping for.

I was also a 1/5 decision, and got the scholarship e-mail just now. Looks like good news for the 1/5ers!

Looks like the email means exactly what every one (except me) said. 1/5 Acccept and then 1/6-1/7 are probably reject/WLs.

My heart skipped a beat when I read the email title on my phone. I hate these fakeout emails! They get me excited for news (scholarships are now the next big news I'm waiting on) and tell me nothing, essentially. Oh well, certainly not worse than GW's email I got weeks after applying that encouraged me to apply!

So if we already have an accepted batch and a probable WL/R batch, what are we to make of people who went complete back in October but haven't heard a peep?

People who were accepted a long time ago also received the email today. I doubt it is a staggered email because it mentions the scholarship postmark deadline is Monday.

It seems as if everyone who's been accepted so far got the email, including people before 1/5, so it doesn't really make sense that they would send it to everyone minus 1/7 people, and then send a few more out in two days.

Well you never know, the response email someone got here said that some people got the email before the pck. Yet, if they are sending the email 1/8, they know for a FACT that the 1/7 people have not gotten their pcks yet, so why would they send it to them? The people who got sent out 1/5, since it takes 2-4 business days for the pck to get in, a big chuck of people should have gotten their pck by the time the email went out. Idk, im just trying to rationalize everything in my favor. I refuse to think I was waitlisted...! C'mon vandy, be my first top 20 acceptance!
