Re: SMU 2010!
I applied to both the FT and PT programs and specified a preference for the full time program. If I'm not accepted FT do you think they would wait list me for the FT program or instead possibly accept me to the PT program? Thanks for any insight!

Re: SMU 2010!
I don't have hard facts, but I applied to both with a preference for FT and was accepted to PT rather than WL'd FT. I have a feeling if you'll consider both, they'll accept you to PT and see if you ask for reconsideration to the FT program. Just a guess though...piperdog188 wrote:I applied to both the FT and PT programs and specified a preference for the full time program. SMU 1L here - FWIW, I got the phone call on the first day of acceptances last year, and didn't get my packet for a little over a week (in Austin).
Congrats to the new admits and good luck to the rest of you!

Wow! I didn't even know there was optional statements. The status check says Decision render, but it won't say if I am in or not. I will be withdrawing soon as I have decided not to study in Tx.

Went and toured the campus today/spoke with a admissions counselor. I was extremely impressed and I'm drafting my LOCI now.

a) The Villages apartments sound awesome - "offers a country club with a bar, restaurant, fitness center, jogging trails, putting green, and athletic fields" LOL
b) The Deman Center for Lifetime Sports looks legit.

i need to go do that, I live right there, and I took a practice LSAT there, but that is about the extent of my knowledge of the campus.Bustang wrote:Went and toured the campus today/spoke with a admissions counselor. I was extremely impressed and I'm drafting my LOCI now.

Re: SMU 2010!
Village apts. a really popular, huge property area, they are basically across 75 from SMU but would be a drive or bike necessary type of thing. They have intramurals through the apt. complexes and the "country club" is decent for a cheap meal occasionally. Basically it is where most people live when moving to Dallas after college, so a young crowd.SpencerPratt wrote:a) The Villages apartments sound awesome - "offers a country club with a bar, restaurant, fitness center, jogging trails, putting green, and athletic fields" LOL

Re: SMU 2010!
i dunno the village area can be kind of sketchy and definitely way older apartments.... i stayed there with a friend one weekend and my mom basically "forbid" me to live in that area hahah, so take that for what its worth
but it is pretty convenient to the school and they look pretty inexpensive

I would say it depends on which Village apt. complex you go to. They have some really new nice ones that back up to NWHWY.bonnieblue wrote:i dunno the village area can be kind of sketchy and definitely way older apartments.... i stayed there with a friend one weekend and my mom basically "forbid" me to live in that area hahah, so take that for what its worth

but that whole side of 75 is a bit hit-or-miss so just be careful
