took me awhile to get the email after the call, like 2 days. status checker simultaneously changed with the email. I wouldn't worry about it. You got the call; you're in; stop the stressing!

Last December had a difficult logic games too, right? How did the two compare?call-me-bubbles wrote:Haha, sorry guys, I took last December and this December, so no personal experience with September's. I'm just bumming because of the stupid LG section on this December's LSAT, and I feel like that'll look especially pathetic if, a year later, my score remains unchanged or possibly even drops.wrote: How was sept v December?
Super interested in this answer.

Just got in via phone call. I go to Cornell undergrad, so please let me know if you have any questions! (FYI I'm a Miamian and living in Ithaca is not that bad)

Yeah, curious as to whether an interview request is an indication of likely admissioncrimsonknight wrote:bgt1995 wrote:Just got in via phone call. I go to Cornell undergrad, so please let me know if you have any questions! (FYI I'm a Miamian and living in Ithaca is not that bad)

They need to make sure there's enough in the scholarship fund to cover everyone deserving, and a lot of folks don't apply until well into January. Just get your reconsideration email ready and set a reminder to update and send it on March 15.btruj777 wrote:taxman14 wrote:Wow this is shit - you only have one opportunity for reconsideration and they don't do it until after March 15. Man this blows.
You tried negotiating it? I got mine this morning, pretty disappointed tbh lol I know they can come up if I show them the other offers and stuff and other schools that I got into but IDK how to present this to them, they "reconsider" after March 15?

I just finished my interview. It was kind of nice. I got exactly 1 question that I had prepared for, but maybe because I speak quickly I felt like I had plenty of time of 99% of the questions, and the written ones were good since I was in finals mode haha.

One was. The rest were similar enough to the questions in here that I think they've just updated. And obviously the written ones were different (unless there was a list of written ones I missed.)Rubbishdump wrote:None of the questions in here were asked?azaleafire wrote:I just finished my interview. Re: Cornell c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I had my interview a couple weeks ago and had the date change on my status checker a few days later. But then it switched to "application is ready for review" yesterday. Anyone have a similar experience? It seems like most people got decisions after the date change.

What is the status category after you've completed your interview?

I completed my interview on 12/14, and yesterday my status checker date updated to 12/19 but still says "interview requested."calpolisci2016 wrote:What is the status category after you've completed your interview?

SIAP but I'm going through the Cornell application and one line of the application asks about interest in Cornell.. Is this basically a "Why X" personal statement? Should I write it as such?
Also, the influence section.. should I give particular thought to this question? I don't really have anyone that particularly infleucned me to apply to Cornell although there are certainly people who influenced me to apply to law school in general.

Okay perfect. I wasn't looking forward to having to write a 2-page "Why Cornell" essay because I don't really have super compelling reasonsbgt1995 wrote:It is a why Cornell. Pre-law advisor from Cornell undergrad told me they get annoyed if it's too long, so keep it to a couple of sentences. For the influenced, I wrote about Cornell Law Profs I'd taken classes with.RParadela wrote:SIAP but I'm going through the Cornell application and one line of the application asks about interest in Cornell.. Yikes, the questions got hard this cycle. Mine were all silly generic interview questions last year. That sucks.
