FWIW, I applied around the same time as you, had a JS1 a couple weeks ago, didn't interview with Columbia until today, and still haven't heard a peep from Chicago. Point being, I think there's a fair amount of randomness entailed in the chronology of this whole process. A long wait at a given school doesn't necessarily imply anything neative (or anything meaningful at all, for that matter...).
+1
Same here, I went complete in all my applicatios around 11/05 - 11/10, and got a JS1 on 11/21.
On the other hand, I've heard nothing from Columbia and Chicago. So seems to be pretty random to me.
are we the same person memphis?

This. *cackling*
none of the stiffs on here seemed to recognize the sheer magnitude of this nelly furtado incident. let's be friends, texteach. you get me.
Absolutely. This is an American tragedy.

Ohhhhhh snap. And IIRC, first wave of JS2's actually end up going a little earlier than that most years, right?

The first JS1s came out way later this year as compared to previous years though. I think the earliest we'll see a JS2 is Dec 23.

JS1 waves so far:

1. 11/4
2. 11/10
3. 11/14
4. 11/21
5. 11/23
6. 11/28
7. 12/2
8. 12/5

Last year, first JS2 came out right before the 9th JS2 wave, so maybe JS2s will come out soon this year too!

I imagine it's unlikely, but has anyone been keeping a rough estimate of people's numbers for each wave? Any splitter love yet?

Why the .5? What's that based on?

That's what happens when you wake up to the JS1 email and post blindly out of joy... lol. I'll make sure to have coffee first next time.

Thanks!
