I applied on 12/5, and everything is checked as complete on my status checker but the status still says: completion pending. Is this normal or could something be wrong?

same. I know it'll probably be best if I do (I'm a splitter), but they make me a bit nervous.addie1412 wrote:no news isn't a bad thing. personally, i'm hoping i don't have to interviewhellohalo wrote:complete 11/11ish

If you want to share what the vibe of your interview was like, this incredibly nervous applicant would appreciate it.Nickel94 wrote:~interview tomorrow~

and all the questions I got were about my app/resume/interests. none of the dumb cookie cutter ones like what is your greatest weakness or what kind of work environment do you excel in etc.

When you put in your skype id to sign up for the interview, if you signed up for Skype with an email, I assume you just give your email correct?

Not necessarily. I signed up with my email and I had a diff username. I suggest you try it out with a friend and see how your name comes up so you can give them the correct one. I didn't do that for another interview and ended up giving them the wrong info, while I tried it w a friend prior to my CLS interview and it worked.Question12345 wrote:When you put in your skype id to sign up for the interview, if you signed up for Skype with an email, I assume you just give your email correct?

At the cost of paying sticker? Doesn't seem like an even trade.lsa16 wrote:Have been having this thought myselfThelaw23 wrote:Wishing I ED'ed just so I could've known the answer before New Years.

Do ED applicants regularly pay sticker? Like I get that they can't negotiate using other offers, but that's kinda fucked.Assasindowntheavenue wrote:At the cost of paying sticker? Will be shocked if I didn't end up paying sticker for somewhere like Columbia anyway so :pAssasindowntheavenue wrote:At the cost of paying sticker? DEF try it - I signed up with Facebook. Didn't know the username, so signed up with email. Submitted my email as name. It went to my Facebook account....I had to reschedule my original interview Bc I was signed into email and never got call. Signed in with fb and had 5 missed calls.Assasindowntheavenue wrote:Not necessarily. I signed up with my email and I had a diff username. Re: Columbia c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
I thought it was incredibly "chill." My interviewer was easy to talk to, laid back, asked questions only about me/my application and what I wanted to do going forward. Actually, ran over time. Best of luck (I don't actually mean this, I want you all denied!! Leave the $cholarships for me!!!)azaleafire wrote:

Re: Columbia c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
My interview was also very chill. Questions included:
~what brought me to my current job
~why Columbia
~why NYC
~what kind of work do I want to do post-law school
Definitely have specific questions prepared otherwise the interview will end pretty short and you will have missed an opportunity for them to get to know you better.
Overall very easy going. Something I really appreciated was that she talked a lot about her own experience and career path. Some of the stuff she said is making me really reflect on my own ideas about my future career which is always a good thing.
This is obvious, but if you can find something to talk about that you have in common definitely bring it up. At the beginning of the conversation she mentioned that she used to work with the organization that I currently work with. I took note of that and made sure to bring it back up at the end of the interview.
