I submitted my application on Tuesday and have not yet received an email saying my application is complete. All the other schools have already responded within maximum two days of submission, so I'm wondering if I should contact the admissions office and ask whether they received it. Did anyone wait more than the usual day or two to hear back from Berkeley after submitting?

Some people have waited a week before going complete.

Did you get any email from them at all? They're probably backlogged from the holiday, but for me at least, I submitted my app late at night on a Thursday, that Friday they sent me an email saying they received it with a link to the status checker (which said "we have received your application") and then on Monday I checked the status checker again and it had changed to "Your file is complete." They did not email me for going complete.

Oh strange, no I didn't get any email at all. Looks like I'm going to have to email them - thinking of waiting until Monday.

Yeah I would check my spam and wait.


On an unrelated note, has anyone who was admitted only received an email and no call, or has everyone received calls?

Not sure how much the UR dates mean; only a few people have reported being accepted this cycle on LSN...

Has anyone who's been accepted received the email containing the username and pin information to create a CalNet account yet? I received the acceptance packet in the mail a few weeks ago and it said I should have already received this information, but I've yet to receive it. This is the information required to login to the admitted students part of the Berkeley Law site.

We were supposed to get it this week, I emailed admissions around the holidays and asked. This imagine we'll get it soon, their transferring their IT system and obviously are having some issues. You'd think they'd send out an email to let us know though

My application went under review 11/16 and I got the call 12/21
still waiting for acceptance letter via mail and what not

So most people hear back if it is positive news in a month, right?

The month timeline is a pretty vague guess. Some hear back in less, others a bit more. Especially with the holidays intervening, I don't know how quickly they've gotten back up and running, but, odds are, you'll hear back before the end of the month.

I don't believe that they've put anybody on WL or Reject, yet, so the timeline of those is unknown. However, seeing as admitted students weekend is in March, that will probably change shortly (traditionally, MyLSN shows that most of the Dings / WLs are in February, as well as a large number of admits).

More or less the same situation as you, wellitsover (I didn't submit on the same day as you but close to it). I've received an "application received" email from literally every other school I'm applying to (and there are many).

I'm not too worried though - on their website it says they send out the emails containing status checker usernames and passwords in batches, and that it could take up to two weeks.

Looks like they were lagging after all & glad I didn't email them - got my status checker email today!

I applied in mid-November and still haven't heard back, but it was a reach so I assume that means I'm in faculty review.

Im at their LSAT median and my GPA is like .0x under their median, so I'm within the mysterious black box of Berkeley- no idea what to expect.

This is me, exactly. It is quite frustrating, because a denial is perfectly acceptable, but I can't imagine they haven't made up their minds on me... Oh well.
