Seeing as how I'm probably not going to be able to get in first anywhere else for the rest of the cycle, I guess I'll take that first.Muiraquita wrote: Very possible?

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
laurossman asked the following question in the 2018 thread:
I had no idea what people meant with the gray boxes. However, I just checked my status for another school, and the boxes have appeared. But I only applied to this school 8 days ago, so I highly doubt boxes mean they've made a decision?
Can anyone clarify for me if your g-town status is saying "application complete" or "application completed"? Georgetown is a big reach for me (both LSAT and GPA fall below median, with the LSAT hovering just above 25th percentile), so presumably I'm not getting in. My status says "application completed." I feel like this means they've decided? I applied 11 days ago.
-----------------
I checked mine too and it is "application completed". What are yours?

I'm still not convinced that you two aren't actually the same person. Has anyone ever seen benwyatt and based in the same room at the same time?basedvulpes wrote:Benwyatt and I once met, the day we were separated at birth.doublehoohopeful wrote:Of course. One of my LOR writers forwarded me an email from Dean Cornblatt thanking hir for submitting a rec. Does anyone know if their recommenders have received similar notes from Georgetown or other schools?

GPA is between median and 75% and LSAT below the 25% by a little. Applied mid september and haven't gotten anything. I know people have heard. Is this a bad sign? Should I be expecting a waitlist or a rejection?

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I'm sorta in the same boat. GPA is at the median, and LSAT is right at 25th percentile. I'm expecting a deferral to regular admissions and then a wait list. I applied about 2 weeks ago though. If they haven't gotten back to you yet, and you submitted over a month ago, then I don't think you're rejected. Your app is probably being reviewed for longer because they aren't sure. But that's a good thing!acceptme2019 wrote:GPA is between median and 75% and LSAT below the 25% by a little. Applied mid september and haven't gotten anything. I know people have heard. I submitted 10/10 and looks like the email from GULC was sent this morning. It probably doesn't mean anything. It just made me wonder how many other schools send out thank you letters.laurossman wrote:When did you guys submit?sockstcat wrote:Same thing just happened to me, prompting me to open this thread. Is there a general consensus on the group interviews? Have people found them helpful? Are they generally seen as mandatory (in effect)? Would love to get your thoughts.

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I'm assuming that slam dunk candidates don't need them (which is why there are already admits), but if your numbers are close, then an interview is probably important.brendo17 wrote:Is there a general consensus on the group interviews? I was contacted for a group interview which was supposed to happen today but they needed to reschedule. I couldn't make the reschedule date so I asked to interview in the next round. I just got an email saying that the next round is on Nov 27th (Black Friday). I will be out of town then for Thanksgiving... Not sure what to do. I wish I could have just gone to the original interview

For those of you who received their acceptance already, what happens next? Did you respond via email or anything to the acceptance? When would one expect to find out if they are getting any merit based money, e.t.c?

Did you apply ED? I just applied regular so not sure if that hurts my chances more.laurossman wrote:I'm sorta in the same boat. GPA is at the median, and LSAT is right at 25th percentile. Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
First post on TLS... been lurking since the October LSAT. So, first and foremost, hello.
Georgetown is my top choice (SO is currently attending their Med School). For those who were recently accepted or have experience applying, how have you handled/plan to handle negotiating for aid? Georgetown is obviously stingy... but, what steps will you be taking this cycle?
Also, what scores do you think would be the minimum for getting some form of financial aid?
Any insight would be much appreciated.
