I Also got waitlisted with a 146/3.86.... Took the feb lsat once...had a month to study... :(

154/3.4 - was on a weekend party trip in Edinburgh with some friends and left for a few hours after getting home from the club to go take the lsat; in hindsight not the best idea.

Might actually study for it this year and reapply next year.

Has anyone received anything in the mail yet? I'm waitlisted, and out in California for work.

I'm also pretty sure that if I email UF's admissions again, they're going to just burn all my information and tell me they never want to hear from me again.

Still nothing here, either. It's frustrating because as each day passes, housing becomes more difficult to find and more expensive. I don't want to sign any lease until I have something tangible from the school. Two places I've looked into already increased $15 a month this week. :|

I received my packet yesterday, so if it said "Admitted" on your status a few days ago -- you're admitted haha.

Received all my supplemental information in the mail yesterday, and will be making my seat deposit within the next few days once I decline all other applications and decisions.

On a side note, I read that they communicated decisions to everyone already. Did anyone get a rejection letter or know someone who did? Or do they seriously wait list everyone that they don't accept?

Still waiting on financial aid information. I know it's going to be almost all loans but it'd be nice to get settled already.

Not currently a resident of Florida.

Possible to qualify for in-state tuition for 2L and 3L? If so, is it a pretty easy and straight forward process? Don't want to commit to Florida if I can't get in-state tuition for 2L and 3L.

Thanks!

You probably want to contact the University for that one.

I just emailed admissions about that this morning, and the reply was that about 70% of out of state students obtain residency after the first year and then pay in-state. Admissions director said to contact Graduate Admissions at UF regarding how to go about doing so, so I'll contact them next.

lol, did you explain that in your addendum ?

haha yeah that would make me look like a responsible candidate. There WAS a knife fight at the end of the night right in front of the exit so we had to wait a bit to leave which resulted in even less sleep but I don't think that would win me any brownie points.

I was wait listed too. I received my wait list packet on May 2nd it was post marked April 30th. I already sent a LOCI along with my wait list response form. I already received confirmation that UF received both the LOCI and form. Just updating!

Did your confirmation email specifically say that they received both? I brought my LOCI and form in yesterday but then I received a confirmation email saying that they received my form and nothing about my LOCI

Well I emailed my LOCI directly to A. Dean Cohen and she emailed me back within two hours saying that she had received it and will forward to the committee and add to my file.

Posted in the wait list thread but this one seems more active:

I just got in off the wait list on the 18th. My numbers were 3.1/159 (undergrad also at UF) with pretty extensive student government work on my resume and a year of grad school under my belt (I'm doing a joint degree). I think my issue of being wait listed was my application wasn't in until March 13th (had an issue getting a transcript from a community college I had taken 1 class at) so super late in the cycle to say the least. Basically I got an email early on May 18th asking "would I be in a position to accept if offered" I replied yes and within about an hour of replying they sent me an email accepting me. That whole exchange was a bit weird I thought but I'll take it.

Not to burst anyone's bubble who is still waiting, but basically what I was told was May 15th was when $200 seat deposits were due from people already accepted in order to start in fall and therefore most wait list people that end up getting in were going to be admitted shortly after that. Now I know $200 isn't that much and someone could easily walk away from that if they changed their mind and open up a spot, but basically I was told very few people drop after that point.
