When did you submit and how are your numbers?Happy Gilmore wrote:I believe I just received a RD acceptance without PT. However, it says I am not officially admitted until I submit an application for scholarship assistance. Is this just a method to Yield protect in case I am not actually interested? So they can claim that they only "officially admitted" 10%? I hope it means I am in because I really want to go here.

I submitted 10/29 and went complete 10/31, also a PT applicant. You can look at http://duke.lawschoolnumbers.com/applicants to get a sense of how long Duke takes to respond. Good luck!when did you guys who just got in submit/go complete?

Re: Duke c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
Nope - they haven't called anyone to my knowledge. In fact, I think the only T14 to call so far are UVA and Berkeley, and I know that UVA emailed first and Berkeley was for people who went complete very early. Didn't you just submit within the past 2 weeks? Probably didn't miss any calls in that time window...luckystar84 wrote:finally figured out a phone issue. haven't been able to pick up @ the number I put down on my app. Has Duke called any of you PT admittees?

Nope, white dude. Kinda surprised myself. Duke was my top choice but figured I would get wait listed and could apply to everywhere else after the 10 day turnaround. But, everything worked out better than expected.jk148706 wrote:FeenyTodd wrote:I'm in! Longtime lurker here, couldn't have done it without all the TLS advice.

How much did I hurt myself by not doing a PT app? I'm starting to regret my decision...

I submitted immediately after I got a second LSAT in October thinking that a fast app would be better than a slow app for most schools - stupidly, I should have waited for a PT offer at Duke.lastsamurai wrote:^^you decided not to do PT after it was offered?
My earlier LSAT would have never been given a PT (I raised my score 10 points).
I've visited Duke and wrote a Why Duke essay so it's become one of my top choices. I just wish that I would have approached this particular app differently.

Any chance you could have your app switched to PT now? I think that might be worth an email to admissions. Either way, I'm sure you're fine - the acceptance will just take a little longer to get to you than it could havefivestarfolds wrote:I submitted immediately after I got a second LSAT in October thinking that a fast app would be better than a slow app for most schools - stupidly, I should have waited for a PT offer at Duke.lastsamurai wrote:^^you decided not to do PT after it was offered?
