I also have interest free perking loan for 2000, so I guess you can say the total package is 16,500

The 1st, 3rd, and 4th line are all different kinds of loans. The 2nd line is your Grant. I got $14,500. They expect us to take out 60k+ in loans per year???! I guess I wasn't expecting much more but still dashed my hopes a bit.maxmartin wrote:wow, are u sure? so all your 71,247 are in the loan categoryteiswei wrote:That means I got $0.00maxmartin wrote:it is out, 14,500 probably will withdraw soon.
second line hasting grant is your aid money, the others are your loan money
Anybody else get anything different?

Me too, good thing those waitressing jobs didn't pay too much, and my current gig (which is good) is somewhat new. Also, not married to my SO or he would have totally screwed up my chancesteiswei wrote:^ I have been working full time since the age of 16... I make really good money

I'm a technology project manager and I used to be a developer. I'm chasing dreams by going to law school and luckily the fiancée is supportive.andy261 wrote:teiswei wrote:I've gotten lucky and moved up pretty quickly. I am in (thankfully); I am just getting a little worried that I was forgotten.sublime12089 wrote:CaliAliLouise wrote:Am I the only one that did not receive a financial aid email?
I still don't have a decision, if that helps. Applied at the deadline though.

Re: UC Hastings c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I didn't receive one either. I have three guesses.
1) I had some trouble with ID stuff.
2) I updated my taxes recently.
3) Typical financial aid slowness problem.
Either way, it looks like there's not much to look forward to in these packets...

Sad day today.
$15,500
Anyone thinking about negotiating? Do they seem open to that?

I've tried asking for merit based aid using good offers from higher ranked CA schools. I got nowhere. I will try again though, I have no shame.

I haven't received the email yet either. It doesn't sound like I'm missing out on much though.
