Hey I'm going to be in Athens visiting the school. Does anyone have any suggestions on any bars downtown?

I went to All Good and I loved it. There is a really cute patio upstairs.hobie2515 wrote:Hey I'm going to be in Athens visiting the school tomorrow. Does anyone have any suggestions on any bars downtown?

My favorite is Blue Sky. It's above The Taco Stand. Amazing scotch list.hobie2515 wrote:Hey I'm going to be in Athens visiting the school tomorrow. Does anyone have any suggestions on any bars downtown?

+1 on Allgood.hobie2515 wrote:Hey I'm going to be in Athens visiting the school tomorrow. Does anyone have any suggestions on any bars downtown?
Also, Walker's, Max Canada, Manhattan, Little Kings, and Trapeze. Trapeze and Allgood have massive craft beer selections. All these bars tend toward dive bar/hipster hangouts.
There are plenty of "fratty" bars in Athens as well. Boar's Head's cool, can't really speak to the rest of them though (except Sand Bar -- aidsburger in paradise).

Pardon the double post, but is the deposit dealine the same date as the deadline for accepting scholarships?

I was wait listed recently. I felt and someone else had suggested that it might be a soft rejection. The admissions building has been relatively aggressive in emailing and physical mail seeing whether or not I wanted to join the wait list or stay on it. Anyone have an opinion or feedback?

If you really want to go to UGA or have it as an option, stay on it and send a LOCI. If you don't care, don't join it. I think it is kind of useless to try and pick apart "clues", you know?bowie.alan wrote:I was wait listed recently. I felt and someone else had suggested that it might be a soft rejection. You're right. Not sure that I want to go there. Just keeping my options open.If you really want to go to UGA or have it as an option, stay on it and send a LOCI. If you don't care, don't join it. I think it is kind of useless to try and pick apart "clues", you know?

Just got an acceptance email. No scholarship info yet though. Those of you who got $$, did that come later via snail mail or email?

when I went to rsvp on the link they provided, at the bottom of the form they included up to 5 (or 4?) blanks for guests you might want to bring.erin0715@me.com wrote:Any idea if we can bring a guest to the event this Saturday?

Status checker changed this morning from "You have been placed on the waiting list" to "You still need to apply". Now, it's changed again to "You have been placed on the waiting list".
