Just got a call from UT. I couldn't answer it because I'm in class. They left a voicemail though. I can't check for another hour and I really want to see what they said. Does this mean I may be in, or do they call to reject and WL you too?

There is no way in hell I'd be able to wait. What date did your application get processed and what date did you get your status checker email??

My application was processed on 11/16 and I got the email for status checker on 11/17.... Has anyone else with these dates received an email or call yet?

I have the same dates and from what I can tell no one has gotten in that was processed then or any later.

Received an acceptance voicemail from Dean Ingram at about 1:15 pm . Now I just need to break the news to my in-laws - they're all Sooners fans.

As far as numbers and dates go: I'm a 3.76/173 with 2 years work experience (Teach for America). I submitted on 11/1 and received my status checker on 11/16.

And a public service announcement for those of you furiously reloading your status checker like I was: there hasn't been a single change on mine since I received it.

I would be optimistic if I got held/waitlisted. It seems like they're getting really aggressive with their medians, trying to pass or stay tied with Georgetown. If you look at who has been accepted/rejected, it looks more like Duke, Michigan, UVA maybe, etc. As others have said this may lead to them having poor matriculation and thus letting a lot of people in off the waitlist.

Who knows though, Texas is a great school on the way up. Best of luck to everyone.

They might catch up to Cornell, but there's no way their median LSAT is gonna go up 3 points (i.e. to match Georgetown) in one cycle, despite what they may think.

How do you know what they think?

Officially in with a voicemail from Dean Ingram! I went complete on 11/18, so I was really surprised to hear back this quickly. She also said I would be receiving a scholarship offer within a few weeks.

I'm still trying to figure Texas out. 3.5, 168, in state, held. The way they're going I'm thinking I'm getting rejected in April.

I'm the same except a 3.6. I wasn't held this morning and feel like a rejection is coming Thursday or Friday morning.

Have hope as well! I'm rocking a 161 and 3.8 and I was held. Your significantly higher LSAT should help you out

I was in such a daze when I got the call that I don't remember what the dean said about scholarship offers. For some reason I can't remember if she said "it's possible you will get an offer in the next few weeks" or "you'll get an offer in the next few weeks." Anyone else get told this or did I remember incorrectly? A "possible offer" feels like a tease, but I wasn't expecting anything so yay!

I received my scholarship offer in the mail today, after getting the admissions packet last Friday. $9,500 a year plus the $48,000 nonresident tuition waiver for a total of $76,500. I really like the sound of this. I'd choose Texas over any non-T6 at this point without blinking.

Well, I got in with way worse numbers than that, so you should have a pretty good chance. It could be that you applied a few weeks later, so just wait it out a bit. I'm sure you'll be fine with those stats

Texas is getting very aggressive this year, I don't think you should worry. I went final 11/11, got in on Monday. So if we had the exact same gap you would've got in today I guess. Nothing to worry about yet.

I got in with #s above both 75ths and nothing else to indicate I was particularly interested in UT. Don't worry about YP--you'll be fine.
