The waiting game sucks. Anybody want to look at my 250 word essay?

I know Yale is a long shot, but potentially having to wait till late in the cycle for a decision is making it hard to enjoy the schools I have heard from.

Any other "late" submitters? Just sent in my application yesterday.

I was considering it. I had heard that "rolling admissions" doesn't really exist for the Yale application process. Can anyone verify this? I was considering putting in an app in the next few days but I wouldn't want to spend the change if applying this late in the game caused serious concern. 3.5+ 173+ URM.countercouper wrote:Any other "late" submitters? Yale VERY strongly supports their policy of not "penalizing" later applicants... so long as you submit before the deadline, obviously. If you're interested in Yale and have spent sufficient time on your application, I would say go for it!FryBreadPower wrote:I was considering it. Edit- This whole announcing that you're calling people via Twitter thing may be great for transparency, but it really causes my cardiovascular system to take a beating in the subsequent hours.

Hoping to submit over the next few days, soon as my 250 is ready. Definitely a reach for me, but I've been really impressed with everything I've read about YLS, so figured I'd give it a shot.countercouper wrote:Any other "late" submitters? Just sent in my application yesterday.
It's more of a modified rolling admissions. They do issue earlier decisions, but hold back on most of them, and will thoroughly review anything sent in by the deadline. It's the only school I'd really consider applying to this late in the game.FryBreadPower wrote: I was considering it. Haha +1. Except for Yale has been the easiest one for me, since I'm not really expecting a call. I only get a little nervous instead of the usual all-consuming anxiety that comes when decisions start coming out for other schools.Doorkeeper wrote:Oh. My. God.
