Dear Colorado,
Still nothing from you. Will you please just let me know already? It's killing me enough waiting for Minnesota. I need to book flights SOON if I'm going to visit both in late Feb/early March without paying an arm and a leg.
Thank you.

Yeah snail mail only for domestic. Not sure about their procedure for international. Maybe you got an email that would indicate admission (like that women in law email). Congrats!ArchRoark wrote:Admission email? I am pretty sure CU only notifies by snail mail.JakeL wrote:I received an admission email on friday or saturday. Waiting now for scholarship info.

Sorry all, meant mail. Just so used to receiving everything by email these days that I guess I typed that without really thinking.

In! yay no fear from the skinny little envelope. Now - money?
And - should I go here if I don't get any money (though I'm hoping I do) or to Lewis and Clark with $25k? hmmm....

Would you get in-state tuition with CU? Where do you want to practice?snowfight wrote:In! yay no fear from the skinny little envelope. Now - money?

I would do some calculation of cost-of-living expenses too and if you can, visit both places. You will likely be living in said area for longer than three years seeing as both of these schools are regional.
Also for anyone who currently attends the school, how are the Tantra Lake apartments? Are they within biking/walking distance of the law school?
I probably should ask this in the "discuss your law school thread" but there really isn't an active thread right now, like last year. I looked at it for housing, but I don't remember anything about the Tantra Lake apartments.

Re: CU Boulder 2011
I don't ride a bike, but I'd guess a 15-20 minute bike ride from the law school. They are not within a reasonable walking distance from the law school, and public transport from there to campus would be annoying (I'd guess an eight minute walk to the bus stop, wait, seven minute bus ride, six minute walk). By car, they're probably a 8-10 minute drive from the law school.queenlizzie13 wrote:Also for anyone who currently attends the school, how are the Tantra Lake apartments? The apartments themselves are reasonably nice with good parking and some nice amenities. However, they're pretty small for the price given their distance from campus, and without air conditioning in the bedrooms of the 1-br units. That said, you could do a lot worse, assuming you want to drive, and live in Boulder.

Thanks Pufer! What apartment would you suggest, if you wanted to live in Boulder? I don't want to drive that much, if possible.

Re: CU Boulder 2011
Well... I got waitlisted at Minnesota today. So Colorado has officially moved into the sole contender #1 spot on my list. I don't even think I'm going to visit Minneapolis schools anymore, despite the generous scholarship at a TTT there.
Here's hoping for some mail this week! I need some good news to finish off my cycle.
