I was held back in December and am encouraged that they might be looking at hold applicants. If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats?

In via e-mail. I sent my app in around 1/8. I was put on hold for further review probably around the 20th and got the e-mail today. I did not receive any scholarship info. Does that mean they are not offering one or does it usually come later?

Oh, and 165 mid 3.7, if anyone is curious.

In as well!!!!! Was very surprised as I have been under review for only a few days. Very excited as this is one of my top choices!!! *Hopefully will get some scholly info in the mail.....

Scholarship info comes in the mail... along with a window sticker.

Did any admitted OOS applicants NOT get a scholarship? I need that tuition equalizer. Even for a semester.

What I think is happening is that they don't quite want to get rid of us but they don't like us enough to just admit us, knowing that people on the edge are far more likely to attend. I have a 167 and a 2.9 so My PS must be horrible.

It's not all about your LSAT. UGA's GPA is pretty high, and a 2.9 puts you at the very bottom of their spectrum. They could be holding off till they know exactly how many more people with 167+LSATs to make it their 75th percentile till they let you know.

I'm going to visit Athens next week, anyone have any suggestions for what class I should try to sit in on / places to visit in Athens?

Check out UGA's decision chart for 165-169 LSAT from last year with a 2.75-2.99 = 15/17 admitted. Its all about the LSAT.

Just cruise around downtown and check out some of the bars. I'm sure there will be something that fits you.

As far as food, stop by Weaver D's, Kelly's Jerk, Farm 255 (fancier fare), Taqueria Del Sol, or White Tiger.
