An upset and a 2OT game to start the tourney. There is absolutely no better sports event than March Madness.

Hello everyone!

Do you think there's any money left for need-based aid?

This better not happen, I have Nova going to the Final Four!
Florida/BYU double OT? This is going to be a good day even if I don't hear from any schools.
Sucker! They're not making it past Baylor.

They're awake. I called today.

After last night's acceptances, I sent off a LOCI.
I went complete around the same time and haven't heard a peep

Thanks for bringing back a non-sports topic.

And goosey, they couldn't possibly be out of need-based aid. That's crazy, right? Has anyone heard about need-based aid yet.

I heard, but I submit my FAFSA, Fordham aid application, etc ridiculously early. Like in January.

Edit to clarify: I submit this stuff in January. They said I was supposed to hear back 2 weeks later, but it was definitely closer to a month.

Nothing yet. Except I did read for NY residents that the TAP $ will be delayed until the State passes it's budget (which may be never). So, fin aid is going to get rough.

go to fordham! i'm a strong believer in going where you will be happiest. i know debt SUCKS, but you will have better opportunities out of fordham than out of brooklyn, i think.

fwiw, i emailed financial aid about scholarship money twice and got no response. my merit aid letter just appeared in the mail yesterday.
Congrats on the money Hannah!! That's so exciting! A part of me wants to email admissions, but I might wait until the end of the week just in case something awesome shows up in my mail! If I got a scholarship, I am pretty sure my decision would be almost final.

Congrats again!

Hey, I'm starting to get nervous about that part on the application that asks you to list all other schools you applied to. Do you think they might yield protect based on that? Or, at the very least, they might infer that Fordham isn't your first choice?

thanks so much ad!!! finaid never got back to me, but admissions has generally been very helpful. they claim to have nothing to do with the merit aid process, though. i still think you should try contacting admissions just to let them know how serious you are about the school, etc. i really think that helped me. GOOD LUCK!!!

How long did it take to get the letter about money?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
