Seriously. I had no idea the suffering that this thread held until now that I've had my JS1 and am in the same boat as the rest of youShrimpToastMasters wrote:+1lawschool22 wrote:+1barrelofmonkeys wrote:I liked this thread better when it had JS2s happening in it.Leo wrote:I liked this thread better when it was poetic.

JS was interviewing today. How do we read these tea leaves vis a vis JS2 potential?

So nothing today. Any chance for tomorrow, or are the tea leaves suggesting next week?

Tbh I have no idea, but would be surprised if we didn't see a few more acceptances before January comes to a close. But by the same token I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't. Jessica's blog post makes me feel like they are taking a little more time this year than they have in past cycles, and they are aware of it on some level.pokemonsters wrote:So nothing today. Hello, I was reading through this thread, but I couldn't find a definitive answer. Is the new March 1st deadline for everyone or just for those who took the February LSAT? I sat for it in October.

Are other people under the impression that the majority of December JS1s ITT are still waiting for a decision?

Gary, I have been tracking in my own little spreadsheet every time that someone has posted receiving a JS1 in this thread and then marking when they received their JS2. Here's the breakdown:
-JS1 Received in Oct: 36 JS2 Received: 31
-JS1 Received in Nov: 35 JS2 Received: 22
-JS1 Received in Dec: 23 JS2 Received: 6
I know this information (and much more) is available in the spreadsheet that LS22 has as well. A similar analysis could be done on the master spreadsheet though, and I bet you'd come up with similar results.
I think this shows us that December JS1s will still get JS2s and probably some from November as time goes on as well.

I really think it's not false hope, to some degree. I think they didn't really get to us for the most part.Gary wrote:Are other people under the impression that the majority of December JS1s ITT are still waiting for a decision?
I'm counting myself for two (myself and a friend who also interviewed in December).

Wow, thanks so much for this lastsamurai!! I completely thought that I was out of luck after the late Dec/ mid Jan waves. Let's hope for something tomorrow thenlastsamurai wrote:Gary, I have been tracking in my own little spreadsheet every time that someone has posted receiving a JS1 in this thread and then marking when they received their JS2. Thank you for this - that certainly rekindles my hope a bit. Maybe I should build this functionality into the spreadsheet, so it would automatically group acceptances by JS1 month.lastsamurai wrote:Gary, I have been tracking in my own little spreadsheet every time that someone has posted receiving a JS1 in this thread and then marking when they received their JS2. Had my JS1. It was the friendliest, most easygoing interview I've ever had. It was actually FUN. To those who have yet to interview, don't despair. I actually didn't get asked why Harvard or why law, which I don't think is typical. She just asked me about things that I'd done or things on my app/resume and let me talk about them, which was awesome.

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
I had my JS1 recently (in the last two weeks), and JS barely asked about my resume at all. All of her questions were broad and almost philosophical? For instance, she asked me to describe my version of the ideal Harvard community... which I sort of interpreted as a "Why Harvard?"-ish question? It felt pretty "interview-ee" to me, so seeing all these "it was soooo awesome and great!" comments is making a little nervous that they are more apprehensive about my app or something. Did anyone else feel like it wasn't the chillest thing ever? There's obviously nothing I can do about it now, guess I'll just have to see what happens...

Plenty of us felt the same way you do. And that includes many of us who have gotten JS2s. FWIW, I know myself and at least two other individuals with JS2s had a mix of resume and more general, interview-like questions. You'll be fine.lawschoolwannabee123 wrote:I had my JS1 recently (in the last two weeks), and JS barely asked about my resume at all. All of her questions were broad and almost philosophical? Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Ya, I wouldn't describe mine as chill and my interviewer (not JS) didn't seem bubbly and conversational like many people seem to have found theirs. Not that they were unpleasant or anything, but it wasn't the totally affable and relaxed experience that many have described.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
