Holy smokes man, congrats! I can only imagine how relieved and happy you are. I was scared we were going to lose you for a few days after the Duke thing.

Yo yo, I iz here.

I will wholeheartedly agree that parts of the lounge are awful places, but there are some places where people go to talk about houseplants, netflix originals, podcasts or even, in one thread, the true meaning of happiness.

Think of the lounge like your favorite bookstore: are there going to be some shitty books you would never want to read? Sure! But I guarantee you there's at least one hidden gem there for everyone.
To echo Ben, because most of my posts that have accumulated in the 4 years that I have been here, and the ones that were deleted because of the threads being older than a year, were mostly from the lounge and I can tell you this: The Lounge is generally entertaining, informative in many threads, and collegiality is always present. Obviously there's going to be some groupthink and cliques within certain threads/groups (huge issue in years past), however, if you spend any inordinate amount of time on this site, you should post in the Lounge.

I understood what you meant after whoosh, that was a legitimate unrelated question. UWash; does that make you happy?

Uh yes I would. I applied to Wash U, so clearly I am considering them.
I just wanted to know your debt aversion, I suppose. I wouldn't, personally. Although, I am applying to WUSTL.
