Had my JS1 a few hours ago with the magnificent JS herself. Didn't get many questions that y'all did. I got asked about my personal statement, what I look forward to, and what I am nervous about, have I considered deferring, and what club would she find me in... I think it went great, but you never know.

Fellow Texan here. The word "Y'all" is, without a doubt, the best contraction in the English language. Although I do love it when I hear people up here in New York say "you's" and "you's guys."

In my neck of the woods it's "you guys" that is used a lot, but I always enjoy hearing "y'all" when I visit my family in SC, TN, KY, AL, etc. That word is such a point of pride to folks in the South.

Also, since working with a bunch of New Yorkers and New Englanders in my office, I think my Southern accent has been coming out heavier in some sort of subconscious protest of my exile.

I think its within bounds for an applicants thread, personally. It is after all, crazily thinking about hypothetical situations, which is what we do best.
