* Those who did not are facing an imminent decision: accept, reject, WL

That's really all we can say at this stage.

Although it's possible that there could be a new wave of holds tomorrow once they fix their mass-hold-emailing-robotron 3000 which broke down after a paltry 3 hours today.

If this doesn't happen, it seems likely that Columbia will respond to the other pool of candidates fairly soon. There were a number of (numerically speaking) both exceptionally qualified and rather unqualified applicants in that pool. The 25/median/75 GPA/LSAT numbers were highly misleading; in the held pool, you could see why the candidate's stats might give the admissions committee reason for looking at the application more closely : the low LSAT candidates (<170) had high GPAs (or were URM), and vice versa. Or both happened to be strong. That really wasn't the case in the non-held pool.

Edit: In the future, it'd be useful to know what undergrad institution a candidate attended in the form -- since they're anonymous, I think people might be willing to disclose?

I don't think you can say the second point with any certainty. If so you would have expected the same outcome out of HLS.
